Winning Form Best Bets

Race 1: RAES’ DYNA JET(1)
Race 2: CABINDA(1)
Race 5: AQUA BLUE(8)
Race 8: TRIPLE BEAT(6)

Magic Tips Best Bets
Race 1: RAES’ DYNA JET(1)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS – Trainer: Gavin VAN ZYL

The pick of the raced runners is the blinkered RAES’ DYNA JET from the Gavin van Zyl stable. The Dynasty filly has had two fair recent attempts on this surface over further where she met stronger opposition. She holds strong claims if handling this shorter distance. Top jockey Marcus takes the ride from a midfield draw.

Race 2: CABINDA(1)
Jockey: Calvin HABIB – Trainer: Michael ROBERTS

CABINDA has finished runner-up in his last four runs on the trot and he handled this surface extremely well after returning from a short break recently. That was his first try with blinkers and the son of Seventh Rock challenged strongly despite racing wide over the five furlongs. He will strip much fitter here and the extra furlong should make the difference. The top selection will be partnered by a capable apprentice and jumps from a favourable barrier position.

Race 8: SMART WORLD(3)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS – Trainer: Dennis DRIER

SMART WORLD
is one of three that should dominate the finish in this low-key ten-furlong handicap. The Ideal World gelding was an impressive c & d maiden winner under Marcus in June and he has kept his form since – albeit often getting going too late. The change of jockey could make the difference for the Drier charge.

TOP BET
Race 9: PURE LOGIC(3)

Jockey: Anthony DELPECH – Trainer: Dean KANNEMEYER

PURE LOGIC has undoubtedly improved since being equipped with blinkers but he was given a ‘special’ ride by his red-hot jockey when easily winning his maiden on his local debut over slightly shorter on the grass recently. The improving Mambo In Seattle colt has a big mass to shoulder on his handicap debut but he does seem ahead of the handicapper’s assessment and this surface could suit him ideally. He can take a power of beating at this lower-level.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:

Race 4: DOUBLE VISION(1)
Jockey: Brandon LERENA – Trainer: Duncan HOWELLS

DOUBLE VISION wasn’t assisted by a rain affected track when making late progress for a never dangerous 4th over seven furlongs last time but the 3rd placed finisher Master Runner boosted that formline when defeating MEDIA CIRCUS next time out. This chestnut gelding finished strongly for a creditable 4th over this c & d in his penultimate outing and tonight’s extra furlong should make a huge difference for the Duncan Howells inmate. The wide draw isn’t a huge worry as he can finish his races well and is having his peak showing.
