TOP BET
Race 2: MADE IN HOLLYWOOD(7)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: Joey RAMSDEN

MADE IN HOLLYWOOD was quietly fancied when she produced a highly promising debut over 1100m on this track two weeks ago. She was slow into stride, then raced green but ran on strongly for a close 3rd, beaten just half a length at the wire. Her conditioner's horses usually make smart improvement with experience and this daughter of Querari should have plenty more to offer. Top visiting jockey Anton Marcus takes the ride.

Race 4: BIG ED(4)
Jockey: Richard FOURIE - Trainer: Shane HUMBY

This is another tricky affair where lack of pace is a big concern. The six-year-old entire' BIG ED is unbeaten from three c & d efforts and his handy tactics could be rewarded here. The son of Horse Chestnut has bounced right back to his best form recently and he is his stable's solitary entrant on the card.

Race 5: BRUTAL FORCE(1)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: Joey RAMSDEN

BRUTAL FORCE was always going to find it difficult to capture a Grade 1 in his comeback run from exactly a year's layoff recently but he still produced a fair performance. The top class son of Western Winter clearly has his issues but he will strip fitter and drops significantly in class today. He has the beating of a few rivals on the Carry On Alice performance last time and the chestnut gelding is the one to beat with Marcus up.

Race 7: SILICONE VALLEY(1)
Jockey: Heavelon VAN DER HOVEN - Trainer: Glen PULLER

The day's first feature is an interesting non-black event over the mile where the joint top weighted entrant SILICONE VALLEY is still best treated at the weights on his huge official rating. The Jay Peg gelding is effective up to a mile and he had a decent last effort in a Grade 1 over this track & trip. He usually finishes his races well so the awkward draw isn't an issue and he should take a power of beating.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:

Race 9: GYPSY BEAUTY(6)

Jockey: Corne ORFFER - Trainer: Greg ENNION

GYPSY BEAUTY hasn't disgraced herself beyond sprints in her last two outings. She only weakened late over the mile eleven days ago and that effort clearly indicated that this trip could be ideal for the daughter of Toreador who jumps from a midfield draw. She represents decent each/way value here.
