Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: QUEEN MOIRA(12)
Jockey:  A DOMEYER - Trainer: C BASS-ROBINSON

There are quite a few first timers in this opening juvenile contest for fillies and the betting market should be closely monitored. That said, the experienced runners could hold the key and QUEEN MOIRA has produced two useful attempts to date. She was well beaten into 2nd by a top sort over this c & d second time out but the 4th placed runner Favola boosted the formline with an impressive subsequent win. This grey daughter of Rebel King should continue to progress and she merits healthy respect.

Race 2: ROCK MY SOUL(5)
Jockey: D Dillon - Trainer: J RAMSDEN

The Joey Ramsden yard holds a strong hand in this small field of juveniles and ROCK MY SOUL is the obvious improver. The useful son of Twice Over was slightly disappointing when he only managed a weak 3rd after setting the pace over this c & d in his first try around the turn last month. Nevertheless, he would have gained plenty from the experience and he faces much weaker rivals today.

Race 3: OUR LADY PEACE(4)
Jockey: C ORFFER - Trainer: B CRAWFORD

OUR LADY PEACE has proven to be ineffective over nine furlongs in recent efforts but today's drop to the mile is ideal for the daughter of Horse Chestnut. She produced a game penultimate run in a strong field over this c & d when only weakening late after setting the pace. The chestnut filly could enjoy the run of the race in this small field and she could take a power of beating in this weaker line-up.

TOP BET
Race 5: LIVE LIFE(1)
Jockey: A DOMEYER - Trainer: C BASS-ROBINSON

The top class LIVE LIFE realised her earlier potential as she ended the Cape Summer in fine style. Of course she beat the top class multiple Grade 1 winner Carry On Alice in a feature in early January and then triumphed over male rivals, again over this track & trip in another feature contest on Met Day. The ratings expectedly favour the brilliant daughter of Trippi and she has huge claims of completing the hat-trick.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:

Race 7: RIVER CAM(8)
Jockey: A DOMEYER - Trainer: C BASS-ROBINSON

An intriguing and extremely competitive mile handicap where the lack of a decent pace could put paid to the chances of many a fancied runner. However, that will pay right into the hands of the improving three-year-old RIVER CAM who relished the mile when he won a decent maiden event on this track early last month. The well-related Trippi colt could adopt frontrunning tactics from his awkward draw on his handicap debut and he should prove to be much better than rated.
