Race 4: SILVER KING(2)
Jockey: S'manga KHUMALO - Trainer: Sean TARRY

SILVER KING is unfortunately unfavourably drawn but the chestnut gelding continues to improve with blinkers and he can produce another useful display. He handled the rise in class well and possibly should have finished closer than 4th seven days ago. Of course, the Tarry inmate kept going to beat LE TIGRE over this c & d in yielding conditions in his penultimate effort and is certainly on the up.

Race 5: SMART MART(1)
Jockey: Callan MURRAY - Trainer: Mike DE KOCK

The pace may not be strong in this nine-furlong handicap and the top weight SMART MART could dictate his own terms to great effect. The proven stayer seemed in need of his comeback outing on the Highveld after a successful Cape stint and he can certainly improve his formline at this much lower level here. The bay gelding is his conditioner's solitary entrant on the card and has a good track record.

Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: Alec LAIRD

BLUE DIAMOND ROAD was probably outclassed but still finished a creditable 3rd in much stronger company on yielding ground over this distance six weeks ago. The consistent son of Mogok was rather interestingly docked two pounds in his rating thereafter. He will certainly enjoy facing today's calibre' of opposition and despite that recent formline not working out well, the Alec Laird inmate could still take some beating here.

Race 7: MY TREASURE(4)
Jockey: Piere STRYDOM - Trainer: Lucky HOUDALAKIS

MY TREASURE was carded to race five days ago so his progress there must be monitored. He has found some of his better form in recent outings and his record proves his affinity for racing down the straight on this course. The Right Approach gelding will again be partnered by Strydom.

Jockey: Jarryd PENNY - Trainer: Grant MAROUN

The in-form Grant Maroun yard saddles a staggering 7 out of the 9 entrants in this maiden contest but their lesser fancied bay filly PROSPERITY could cause the upset on her debut for her new conditioner. The lightly raced daughter of Great Britain produced her better displays against male rivals and she has always given the indication that she could prefer this minimum trip which she tries for the first time today. There could be decent improvement to come from the bay filly.
