Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: VANITY FAIR(12)
Jockey: Anthony DELPECH - Trainer: Dennis DRIER

VANITY FAIR drifted alarmingly in the betting market but still produced a promising debut over this c & d mid-March. The speedy daughter of Var was outrun late into 3rd that day and she would have come on appreciably from the experience. She had today's rival ALLY WHOOPEE just a neck behind her that day but her favourable draw gives her the edge.

Race 2: KHETIWE(1)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS - Trainer: Paul LAFFERTY

The speedy and consistent KHETIWE was pipped on the post over an extra furlong on this course recently but she can go one better over the minimum trip today. Top jockey Marcus retains the ride on the imported daughter of Redoute's Choice who should make her speed count.

Race 5: LA FERRARI(5)
Jockey: Anthony DELPECH - Trainer: Tony RIVALLAND

LA FERRARI has been sparingly raced and he has shown above-average ability in his two runs thus far. He was impressive when beating a decent line-up over five furlongs on this course second time out. He would have strengthened during the break and should be highly competitive on his handicap debut despite a big mass. The chestnut gelding is favourably drawn and gets the services of another top jockey.

Race 8: CHROME BLUE(1)
Jockey: Anthony DELPECH - Trainer: Dean KANNEMEYER

CHROME BLUE probably found the trip too far for him last time but he could be a real force back over this c & d. Of course, the Kannemeyer inmate produced a powerful late burst to get up and beat stronger rivals in his penultimate outing over this track & trip. He is the yard's only runner on the day and will be particularly effective on soft ground. The son of Caesour will enjoy the likely solid gallop.

Race 3: RAGNAR(6)

Jockey: Ashton ARRIES - Trainer: Paul LAFFERTY

would have strengthened during his ten-week absence after he made eye-catching late progress on his fair debut over this c & d in early February. That formline hasn't amounted to much but this son of Brave Tin Soldier should make natural improvement and he could be a major force for his red-hot yard. He gets the services of an in-form 4kgs claiming apprentice.
