JOCKEY Comments:
Jockey Greg Cheyne was satisfied with Tilbury Fort’s 11 slot, saying: “He will come in one when the reserves come out and I started from ten when I won on Big City Life in 2009.”

“I was very happy with his gallop last Thursday at Greyville. I was told not to expect much in his work but he felt in good order to me. I am very excited to be riding a horse for South Africa’s leading trainer and it does give one a lot of confidence. As far as I am concerned all feels good to me and now I must go out and make it happen.”

TRAINER Comments:
Sean Tarry: “He’s definitely on the up, but strictly on form will battle to turn around the form with Al Sahem. He has had a nice prep and seems to enjoy Greyville. He was a little bit handier than he usually is in the 1900 and I think he will stay the trip.”

“I am taking my chances with him and I am just hoping for the best.”

MAGIC TIPS (Winning Form) Comment:
This improving three-year old from the powerful Tarry yard produced the run of his career when runner-up behind TEN GUN SALUTE in a Grade 2 on his local debut six weeks ago. The weight reversal with his conqueror and IT’S MY TURN underlines the size of his task and the son of Horse Chestnut didn’t impress in the gallops recently. That said, his low mass and the assistance from a jockey that has won this event before are pluses and the Tarry charge certainly won’t mind a false run affair.

Verdict: Back to best with career best performance last time, has work to do at the weights though.
