Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 2: NO MORE WORDS (8)
Jockey: Anthony DELPECH - Trainer: Robbie SAGE

The London Secret formline has already worked out well and NO MORE WORDS finished a smart 2nd in her comeback run in that event. The daughter of Byword should strip fitter today and she should relish this drop to the minimum distance. She jumps from pole position on her track debut and is her yard's only entrant on the card.

Race 3: ALRAUNE (1)
Jockey: Anthony DELPECH - Trainer: Gavin VAN ZYL

ALRAUNE has shown some decent credentials and also represents the London Secret formline. This bay filly takes on very moderate opposition and holds strong claims despite her wide barrier. She gets the services of top jockey Delpech.

Race 4: MISS BULSARA (1)
Jockey: Piere STRYDOM - Trainer: Geoff WOODRUFF

MISS BULSARA has made smart improvement since joining this yard and she will be cherry-ripe today. She had a creditable last effort over a mile on this track despite undoubtedly preferring a galloping circuit but the daughter of Silvano could be above-average and is still the one to beat today. The bay filly will enjoy the ten furlongs.

Race 9: CAT'S WHISKERS (7)
Jockey: Anthony DELPECH - Trainer: G/K ANTHONY

This is an extremely moderate low-key fillies and mares handicap but CAT'S WHISKERS is a standout on recent form and she has drawn really well, with a top jockey in the saddle. The daughter of Mogok had her maiden victory on this track more than a year ago and her recent form indicates that she is ready to win again. She fought on gamely for a close 3rd at a similar level last time out and should handle the drop in distance. The four-year-old filly is her stable's only entrant on the day.

Race 8: HADDINGTON (1)

Jockey: Anthony DELPECH - Trainer: David NIEUWENHUIZEN

HADDINGTON possibly produced the run of his career when he finished well despite being horribly out at the weights at graduation level over this c & d two weeks ago. Admittedly, he has flattered to deceive on numerous occasions but now meets far weaker handicap rivals and could be a huge contender if reproducing that performance. His wide draw isn't a huge concern as the pace should be hot and he has finished well in recent outings. The Ideal World gelding is his jockey's only ride on the day.
