With just a day to go, and eight matches later, it all comes down to this, the final of the 2017 ICC Women's World Cup. India will attempt to achieve history in winning their maiden World Cup. The hosts England will compete for earning their fourth World Cup title and there's no better stage to accomplish that feat, especially if you doing it on home soil.

England

England's impressive run to the final is shadowed by a single defeat, which came at the hands of their upcoming opponents, India. The Three Lions tasted glory when they lifted the cup in 1973, 1993, and 2009 and they will be determined to claim yet another World Cup under their belt come Sunday.

England's power lies in their wicketkeeper and leading run scorer Tammy Beaumont, who's totalled 387 runs, in 8 matches, with a high a score of 148 against South Africa. With four batsmen having scored 300 plus for England their side is equipped with enough players capable of producing a standout performance. Not to mention, right arm off-break and All-rounder, Heather Knight, has 8 scalps to her name and will be looking to add to that tally.

India

India is on the verge of history as they take on host's England this Sunday for the ICC Women's World Cup. Credit goes to the resilient Harmanpreet Kaur who scored the second highest score this year with an unbeaten 171 off 115 balls with a strike rate of 148.69.

India's spin bowlers will be the key and Kaur's standout performance might raise individual players bars on the final day.

Verdict: India 31/20
This is a tough call, considering that England are at home but India will be out to prove that the victory over The Three Lions in the opening game was no fluke. And with so much at stake for the Indians, I'm backing them to come good for the second time this tournament.
