The Men’s 200M final crowned a new champion at the IAAF World Championships on the 10th of August in London 2017.

Ramil Guliyev of Turkey wins the Men’s 200M gold in the IAAF World Championships in London 2017. The Turk bolstered past champion Wayde van Niekerk in the final 5metres of the race to win by 0.002 seconds.

The incredible race saw Wayde van Niekerk lead throughout the bend until the last 5 metres as he dipped a little too early before the finish line. Wayde van Niekerk’s dream double will have to wait a little longer, but the athlete completed a highly successful campaign at this years IAAF World Championships bringing home a gold and a silver medal.

Jereem Richard of Trinidad and Tobago claimed the bronze with a time of 20.11.107 finishing one hundredth of a second behind van Niekerk.
