Another week, another big win for Premiership Champions-elect Canterbury. The men in 'Black and Red' were in all-conquering form last week as they thrashed Championship outfit Southland 78-20. They then went on to hammer Counties Manukau 78-5 in their midweek fixture.

Last weekend also saw a big win for Otago who smashed Hawke's Bay 21-64, while there was more disappointment for Auckland who went down 38-49 to Taranaki.

Northland v North Harbour | Thursday 14 September | Toll Stadium | 09:35

To Win (80 Mins)
Northland 33/20 | Draw 20/1 | North Harbour 5/10

First up, it's the battle of the North with Northland playing host to North Harbour. The hosts have enjoyed a fast start to the season and currently sit second on the Championship standings. They also come into this one off the back of a 37-7 victory over Premiership outfit Waikato, so you just know their tales will be up here.

North Harbour have enjoyed an even better start to life in the Premiership, with the new boys having won all four of the fixtures they have played. They currently sit in second place in the Premiership standings and come into this one off the back of an 18-27 victory over Counties Manukau.

Verdict: North Harbour 5/10
This is likely to be a tight affair but it's on I think the visitors will edge. They have been the second most impressive side in the competition - behind Canterbury of course - and I can see them maintaining their unbeaten run here.

Southland v Auckland | Friday 15 September |  Rugby Park | 07:45

To Win (80 Mins)
Southland 5/1 | Draw 30/1 | Auckland 1/8

So, we move on from two of the most impressive sides in the 'comp to two of the most depressing with Championship cellar-dwellers Southland taking on Premiership disappointments, Auckland. The hosts come into this one off the back of an absolute drubbing at the hands of Canterbury, while the visitors make the trip having gone down to Taranaki on their own patch.

Verdict: Auckland 1/8
Finally, a game that Auckland can win. The visitors should really make light work of a Southland side that has conceded 191 points in just four games.

Taranaki v Bay of Plenty | Friday 15 September | Yarrow Stadium | 09:35

To Win (80 Mins)
Taranaki 2/13 | Draw 28/1 | Bay of Plenty 17/4

Taranaki and Bay of Plenty will face off in Friday's final fixture. The hosts, who currently occupy third spot on the Premiership standings, come into this one off the back of an impressive away win over Auckland. Bay of Plenty also enjoyed a solid result last week as they beat Manawatu 17-20.

Verdict: Taranaki 2/13
Taranaki have only lost one of their matches this season and I expect them to keep that record in tact by getting one over Bay of Plenty.

Waikato v Manawatu | Satuday 16 September | FMG Stadium | 04:35

To Win (80 Mins)
Waikato 4/10 | Draw 20/1 | Manawatu 21/10

We get Saturday's action underway extremely early with Waikato and Manawatu going head-to-head at the FMG Stadium at 04:35 SAST. Both of these teams currently occupy mid-table positions in their respective leads with Waikato sitting fourth in the Premiership and Manawatu sitting fifth in the Championship.

Both teams also come into this one off the back of losses with this weekend's hosts going down 37-7 to Northland and Manawatu being pipped by three points by Championship rivals Bay of Plenty.

Verdict: Waikato 4/10
Waikato have been solid enough at home with their only loss at the FMG coming against Tasman a fortnight ago. They should extend their solid run of form on their own turf here.

Otago v Tasman | Saturday 16 September | Forsyth Barr | 06:45

To Win (80 Mins)
Otago 11/10 | Draw 19/1 | Tasman 15/20

Impressive Otago will be looking to spring a surprise when they take on a Tasman outfit who haven't exactly set the Mitre 10 Cup alight. The hosts come into this one off the back of a mammoth 21-64 victory over Hawke's Bay while the visitors make the trip having off the back of a two point victory over Championship pace-setters, Wellington.

Verdict: Tasman 15/20
This is an extremely tough game to tip, and I would honestly avoid having a strike on it. If you must place a wager, my advice is to take a rather small one on the away win.

Counties Manukau v Hawke's Bay | Sunday 17 September | Ecolight Stadium | 06:35

To Win (80 Mins)
Counties | Draw | Hawke's Bay *Odds to be added upon release

Counties Manukau and Hawke's Bay will lock horns in the first of Sunday's two fixtures. The hosts currently occupy last-place on the Premiership standings and have only one victory to their names while the visitors are second-to-last on the Championship standings but have also only one win this season.

Verdict: Counties *Odds to be added upon release
Despite their insipid start to the campaign, Counties should have more than enough firepower to see off a Hawke's Bay.

Wellington v Canterbury | Sunday 17 September |  Westpac Stadium | 09:35

To Win (80 Mins)
Wellington | Draw | Canterbury *Odds to be added upon release

Canterbury will be in action for the second time in just the space of four days this Sunday as they take on a Wellington outfit who will still be smarting from their two-point away defeat to Tasman. The visitors come into this one off the back of a highly impressive mid-week 78-5 victory over Counties Manukau, which saw scrum-half Mitch Drummond score four tries before the first-half had even come to a conclusion.

Wellington didn't fare as well during their last outing as they went down 37-35 to Tasman. That was, however, the Wellington Lions only defeat of the season thus far, which shows you just how good they have been.

Verdict: Canterbury *Odds to be added upon release
With no price available at the time of writing I'm going to have to do some guess work here. I expect Canterbury to be about 5/10 for the win. If they open up at that price, I will be having a proper go on the away victory.
