The Los Angeles Dodgers hosted the Houston Astros at the Dodgers Stadium. Previously the winner of Game 1 has gone to win a best of seven game series 64% of the time.

The Dodgers ace pitcher - Clayton Kershaw effected 11 strikeouts as he led the Dodgers to their opening home win.

Chris Taylor rocked proceedings as he opened the Dodgers innings with a homer off Dallas Keuchel, becoming the fourth player to lead off Game 1 with a home run, Dodgers took the lead 1 - 0 in the first inning.

Keuchel turned things around as he sent Puig and Corey Seager to the dugout, as they were run out at first base.

In the fourth inning, Kershaw was hit for a homer by Alex Bregman to level the game. Kershaw recovered, making eight strikeouts. In the sixth inning, Justin Turner took the Dodgers to the lead as they scored twice off his home run.

The Astros attempted to react to Kershaw's variety but were run and caught out to hand the LA Dodgers a game 1 win.

Game 2 Verdict: LA Dodgers 8/10
With another home fixture in the pipeline for the Dodgers, one can expect a similar result. Kershaw has found his form forcing the Astros reassess their hitting line up. If the Dodgers win game 2, that will give them a very comfortable cushion going into their away fixture in Houston. Everything is playing to the hands of the Dodgers winning their seventh World Series title. This Series will belong to the pitchers who prove to be unplayable.
