Winning Form Best Bets
Race 1: ROY’S BARBEL(1)
Race 2: PEARL GLOW(1)
Race 8: SHIRLEY VALENTINE(1)
Race 9: MAKING MIRACLES(13)
Magic Tips Best Bets
Race 1: SEATTLE SPARK(10)
Jockey: Sean VEAL Trainer: Dennis DRIER

SEATTLE SPARK showed expected improvement when runner-up over this trip on the polytrack second time out. She was 2.25 lengths clear of the next placed entrant VICTORIOUS DIVA that day and the Drier charge should continue to progress. She is drawn best of all on her grass debut.

Race 4: BRAVO ZULU(4)

Jockey:  Gunter WROGEMANN – Trainer: Louis GOOSEN

BRAVO ZULU has had enough chances but he has come well in KZN and is threatening his first career win. He challenged the highly regarded newcomer Graduate strongly before finishing a close 2nd over this distance on the polytrack five weeks ago. His good draw is a big plus on his course debut today.

TOP BET
Race 6: EMMA’S ORACLE(8)
Jockey:  Greg CHEYNE- Trainer: Duncan HOWELLS

The Howells stable holds a very strong hand in this contest and the likely short-priced favourite EMMA’S ORACLE should build on her much improved recent c & d performance. She was returning from a 13 week absence but made late headway to finish thereabouts in a ‘blanket’ affair, the form of which was boosted when the runner-up Sweet Treat emerged victorious subsequently.

Race 9: MAKING MIRACLES(13)
Jockey:  Ashton ARRIES- Trainer: Paul LAFFERTY
The filly MAKING MIRACLES has promising form and she is overdue her first career victory. She tried hard when runner-up in mixed company behind Aforaway over further on this course a fortnight ago and may prefer this drop in distance. She will represent good value in this open final event.

VALUE BET FOR TODAY
Race 5: HOKANUI(1)
Jockey: Sherman BROWN Trainer: Des EGDES
The African Pharoah formline should be a good pointer to the outcome of this ordinary maiden contest. The four-year old HOKANUI produced his career best effort when quite surprisingly getting close to two highly regarded sorts that day and he was in turn 2.50 lengths clear of the next placed finisher SLIGHTLY SCOTTISH, who admittedly has much more scope for improvement.
