Race 2: GROOVY NEWS(4)
Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: Jannie BORMAN

looks the part here. The 5yr old bay gelding is in good form and won his only start over this c & d in his penultimate run, despite having issues. The form of that race was franked last week, when the runner-up, subsequently won. Top jockey Muzi Yeni has been engaged for the ride and the bay could go close with a low mass of 52kgs.

Jockey: Evert PHEIFFER - Trainer: Dennis CASON

was a surprise winner over this c & d two weeks ago. The 4yr old bay filly was given a four-pound penalty for the win but is capable of following up. The wide draw shouldn't be an issue as she was also drawn wide last time.

Race 6: KIDMAMBO(1)
Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: Cliffie MILLER

is holding form since relocating from Gauteng. The son of Mambo In Seattle was running on well in his last run over the mile at this track. The 5yr old bay gelding ran a good race three runs back over this c & d. He finished 2nd, 1.25 lengths behind the winner, Rocket Falls. Cliffie Miller must be expecting a big run from his charge back over this trip.

Race 7: JAGUAR(1)
Jockey: Muzi YENI - Trainer: Coerie LENSLEY

has been really consistent and deserves to record the eighth win of his career. Three of his seven wins have come over this c & d. Jockey Muzi Yeni knows the gelding well and was aboard when winning over this trip on the 30th May this year. The son of Tiger Ridge jumps from a decent draw of five.

Race 8: FIRST SIGN(10)

Jockey: Louis BURKE  - Trainer: Bill HUMAN

made good improvement over the mile at this track last week. The 5yr old bay gelding was drawn wide but moved up well to finish 2nd, 1.75 lengths behind Consider The Cat. The gelding faces a similar field and will be competitive with only 50kgs on his back. It is interesting to note that the son of Count Dubois has previously won over this distance at the Turffontein standside track.
