Friday 6 March

Alaves 33/20
Draw 21/10
Valencia 18/10
We kick things off at the Mendizorroza Stadium on Friday as Alaves host Valencia. Asier Garitano would have been disappointed with the 1-1 draw at 19th-placed Leganes last Saturday, but he’ll be confident his side can get back to winning ways against Valencia. Alaves have won their last two home games, beating Eibar and Athletic Bilbao, both by 2-1 scorelines.

Albert Celades’ men recorded their first win in six games with a 2-1 victory at home to Real Betis. Los Che have struggled for form this season, especially away from the Mestalla Stadium. They’ve won just three of their 12 away games, losing seven times. Lucas Perez is in red-hot form for Alaves and I fancy the ex-Arsenal striker to terrorize the Valencia defence. Back the home win at 33/20.

Saturday 7 March

Eibar 15/20
Draw 26/10
Mallorca 38/10
Eibar will look to further distance themselves from the relegation zone when they host 18th-placed Mallorca in Saturday’s early kick-off. The hosts, who are 16th in the La Liga table, are unbeaten in their last four matches at home, recording three victories – including a superb 2-0 win over Atletico Madrid.

Mallorca’s 1-0 home defeat against Getafe last weekend was their 16th loss of the campaign – no team has lost more this season. The newly-promoted side are yet to win on the road, losing 10 of their 12 games played. The home win is the way to go.

Atletico Madrid 19/20
Draw 22/10
Sevilla 33/10
Diego Simeone’s men dropped out of the Champions League places after they could only manage a 1-1 draw away to bottom side Espanyol, while Sevilla and Getafe both won. Los Colchoneros will be happy to return to the Wanda Metropolitano where they’ve won their last three matches, with league wins over Granada and Villarreal in between a superb 1-0 victory over European champions Liverpool.

Sevilla will be looking to make it three wins in a row following victories over Getafe and Osasuna, but they know it won’t be easy. These sides have played to a 1-1 draw in each of their last three meetings in La Liga. It’s 5/1 for another 1-1 draw, but I’m backing Simeone’s men to win and leapfrog their opponents in the table.

Barcelona 7/20
Draw 17/4
Real Sociedad 7/1
Barcelona would have been disappointed with their 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid in the El Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu as the result saw their arch rivals leapfrog them at the top of La Liga. The Catalans will want to bounce back strongly from that loss last weekend and at the Camp Nou, they’ll fancy their chances of doing so. But in-form Real Sociedad will be looking to cause a major upset.

La Real have won their last three matches in La Liga; however, all of those wins came at the Reale Arena. Imanol Alguacil’s side have lost both of their last two away games in La Liga against strugglers Real Betis and Leganes. I’m backing Barca on the -1 Handicap at 8/10.

Getafe 15/20
Draw 23/10
Celta Vigo 17/4
Getafe’s victory over Mallorca saw them move back into the Champions League places. Jose Bordalas’ team will be looking to build on that victory and will fancy their chances against 17th-placed Celta Vigo who have won just once on the road this season, losing seven times. Getafe won the reverse fixture 1-0 at the Abanca-Balaidos, courtesy of a brilliant solo goal by on-loan Chelsea winger Kenedy in the 37th minute. The home win is tipped.

Sunday 8 March

Osasuna 13/10
Draw 43/20
Espanyol 22/10
Osasuna would have been gutted to concede a stoppage-time goal to lose 3-2 at Sevilla last weekend, especially after showing tremendous fighting spirit, coming from two goals down with 10 men on the field after goalkeeper Sergio Herrera was sent off in the 54th minute.

Jagoba Arrasate will be hoping for a positive response from his team that has lost four of their last five matches. The Pamplona club have the ideal opportunity to get back to winning ways when they host bottom-of the-log Espanyol. The Catalans have won just once in their last eight away games, losing six times. The home win is worth a punt at 13/10.

Valladolid 37/20
Draw 37/20
Athletic Bilbao 18/10
Valladolid failed to build on their win over Espanyol by succumbing to a 1-0 defeat away to Real Sociedad. Sergio Gonzalez’s side are 15th in the La Liga table and they’ll be looking to bounce back to winning ways and put further distance between themselves and the relegation zone.

After going 10 league games without a win, Athletic Bilbao finally won a match, recording a 1-0 home victory against Villarreal thanks to a Raul Garcia penalty, with Gaizka Garitano left relieved as the win ended a run of four straight defeats. Only Sevilla and Real Madrid have managed to beat Valladolid at home this season, however, the Pucela have drawn seven of their 12 games at the Estadio Jose Zorrilla – no team has drawn more at home. I’m going for the draw at 37/20.

Levante 21/20
Draw 24/10
Granada 51/20
Levante’s poor home form continued last weekend as they were thumped 3-0 by Eibar, which was their fifth straight defeat on their travels. The Frogs will be relieved to return to the Ciudad de Valencia where they’ve won three of their last four games, including back-to-back victories over Leganes and Real Madrid.

Paco Lopez’s side will be confident of victory over Granada, having won the reverse fixture 2-1 in Los Carmenes earlier this term. The Nazaries have also been poor on the road. They comfortably saw off Osasuna 3-0 in their last away game, but prior to that, they lost eight in a row, failing to score in six of those defeats. With home ground advantage, get on Levante to win at 21/20.

Villarreal 7/10
Draw 26/10
Leganes 17/4
Villarreal have been poor of late with back-to-back losses against Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao. However, both of those defeats were away from home and Javi Calleja’s men will welcome the return to the Estadio de la Ceramica.

The Yellow Submarine have won their last two home games, beating Osasuna and Levante. Leganes are yet to win on the road this season, losing seven of their 12 away games. Villarreal ran out comfortable 3-0 winners in Butarque earlier this term and I’m expecting another comfortable victory for the Yellow Submarine.

Real Betis 32/10
Draw 29/10
Real Madrid 15/20
Real Madrid returned to winning ways with a 2-0 triumph against Barcelona in the El Clasico to move above their rivals and back to the top of La Liga. Zinedine Zidane’s men will want to make sure they remain in first place and will target maximum points against a Real Betis side who have gone seven games without a win. I’m expecting a comfortable win for Los Blancos.
