Durban – The KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Union and the Hollywoodbets Dolphins are pleased to announce that title sponsor Hollywoodbets have signed a new three year sponsorship deal with the franchise.

Having taken over as title sponsor on a short-term deal at the beginning of the 2016/17 season, the Durban-based betting agency and KZNCU are excited to announce that they will be extending their relationship.

“The extension of the Hollywoodbets contract shows great faith in the Dolphins brand and team,” KZNCU Chief Executive Officer Heinrich Strydom mentioned.

“We are extremely grateful to have this wonderful company on board and we are looking forward to taking this partnership to the next level in the coming years.”

Hollywoodbets have been at the forefront of helping promote the stadium experience for fans and have been pro-active in organising a number of match-day activations and initiatives where their staff have formed part of the DolFAN Army.

Media and Communications Executive, and long-time Dolphins fan, Devin Heffer felt that after one season of learning the ropes as a title sponsor, Hollywoodbets are ready to immerse themselves in the role.

“We have formed a relationship with the players, coaching staff and administration. We feel that over the past two years we have become more than just a sponsor – we are one team,” an excited Heffer said.

“There has been a great fusion between the two brands, and we believe that will grow to bigger and better things.

“With new leadership roles in the Hollywoodbets Dolphins camp like Khaya Zondo as the new captain, Grant Morgan in his second season as coach, and Heinrich Strydom as the new CEO – the Dolphins are getting the right mix of energy and enthusiasm into the franchise setup.”

Hollywoodbets have also seen this extension of their involvement with the Dolphins as an opportunity to get involved in growing the game of cricket across the province.

“This sponsorship also allows Hollywoodbets to continue the development of cricket in KwaZulu-Natal and South Africa.

“We are making a big impact on the club scene, the semi-professional teams (Africa T20 Cup), as well as the community scene.

“Our Community Cricket programme last season saw 95 players and 5 coaches from 5 different clubs benefit through this sponsorship.

“We know Heinrich has great plans for taking the community and development projects further, and we want to be a part of that! This sponsorship will allow us to continue working in this area that we are so passionate about,” Heffer stressed.

The Hollywoodbets Dolphins start their Sunfoil Series campaign against the Titans on Tuesday 19th September 2017. Get their full fixture list here.
