WATCH: Carragher Suspended by Sky Sports for Spitting on 14-Year-Old Fan

Former Liverpool and England defender, Jamie Carragher, has been suspended by Sky Sports following an incident where he spat at a 14-year-old football fan.

The incident took place after Carragher had left Old Trafford after working for Sky and was followed by a car that kept hassling him and by sounding its hooter and reminding him of the scoreline after Liverpool lost 2–1 against Manchester United on the 11th of March.

After a couple of run-ins with the car, Carragher is seen pulling down the window of his Range Rover and spitting towards the vehicle. The projectile hit the young girl who was riding in the front passenger seat.

Carragher apologized on Sky and on Twitter and is understood to have phoned the family to apologize for his actions.

Jamie Carragher tweeted the following

Totally out of order & I’ve apologised personally to all the family this evening. I was goaded 3/4 times along the motorway while being filmed & lost my rag. No excuse apologies. https://t.co/ofrNfiwhYH

Jamie later apologized on Sky News
