Pukke v UJ
Monday 2 April

To Win (80 Mins)
Pukke 4/10

Draw 20/1
UJ 7/4

Pukke (-6.5) 17/20
UJ (+6.5) 17/20

This Monday's hosts have enjoyed a fantastic tournament, winning six of their eight fixtures round-robin phase fixtures, while drawing another. Their only loss to date came at the hands of Ikeys back in Round 2 where they went down 18-15 in Cape Town.

Pukke head into this one off the back of a frenetic 33-33 draw with Maties, which saw them end the round-robin phase of the season as the competition's runners-up rather than table toppers. The stalemate also ensured that should Maties and themselves come through their semi-finals, Pukke would be forced to travel down to Stellenbosch.

It's been a solid year from the tournament's perpetual bridesmaids as they managed to claim third position on the log and avoid an away date with Maties. Their record of five wins and one draw from their eight round-robin phase fixtures is a rather impressive one, with their only two defeats coming at the hands of Maties (3-31) and Pukke 18-15.

UJ have been involved in the last two sets of semi-finals, tanking in both. In fact, UJ have contested five semi-finals and have lost on each occasion. Certainly not the kind of statistics you want to be carrying into this one, although, records are meant to be broken.

Verdict: UJ (+6.5) 17/20
This game should follow a very similar script to the round-robin phase fixture with both teams likely to take a conservative approach. As such, I think the plus line is the way to go.
