4 PSL Clubs to Taste Africa

Former Villa star Samuel Passes in car crash

Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns, runners-up Orlando Pirates, third-placed Kaizer Chiefs and Nedbank Cup winners Free State Stars will take part in Africa next season.

Sundowns won the right to participate in the CAF Champions League having won the title with ease, whereas Pirates crowned an impressive campaign with qualification for the tournament.

Meanwhile, Chiefs, who endured a below-par season, will get a taste of CAF Confederations Cup football, whereas, Stars also earn a berth in the competition having won the Nedbank Cup.

The next editions of the CCL and CCC are set to get underway in December as CAF switches to a new calendar for the tournament in September 2019.

Both the Brazilians and the Sea Robbers are looking to win a second star in the Champions League.

In addition, the Glamour Boys can look forward to African football and have a big chance to bounce back from a less than stellar 2017/18. For Ea Lla Koto, participating on the continent comes as a huge achievement for the Luc Eymael-coached side.

It marks the first time that the outfit from Bethlehem will take part. Stars won the right to be there having beaten Maritzburg United 1-0 in the Nedbank Cup final.
