Magic Tips Best Bets

TOP BET
Race 2: JUAN TWO THREE(1)
Jockey: G CHEYNE - Trainer: A GREEFF

The top quality JUAN TWO THREE continues to be sparingly raced, undoubtedly due to his niggles but he ended last term with smart back-to-back triumphs. The ten-time winner has an excellent polytrack record and is again best weighted to make a winning seasonal debut.

Race 3: BAKKIES(1)
Jockey: B Claassen- Trainer: G Paddock

The extremely well-related son of Await The Dawn, BAKKIES showed smart potential when he was outrun late into 2nd over this c & d on his local debut for his in-form yard last month. The lightly raced four-year old attracted longshot betting support when returning from a 20 week absence that day and he will strip fitter now.

Race 5: WHAT A PLAYER(7)
Jockey: G Cheyne  - Trainer: A Greeff

The filly WHAT A PLAYER finished strongly for a close 3rd behind subsequent victress Just Chaos over this c & d on her seasonal debut and she is again best-weighted here. Of course she has no issue facing male rivals having been pipped in the Guineas in the autumn and she will be cherry-ripe today.

WHAT A PLAYER(7)

Race 7: SEARCHING(5)
Jockey: G Cheyne  - Trainer: A Greeff

SEARCHING dug deep to narrowly beat male rivals over this c & d on her seasonal debut in early August and the above-average chestnut will strip much fitter this time around. Admittedly, the daughter of Jay Peg prefers an extra furlong but she still appears well ahead of the handicapper and is again the one to beat.

VALUE BET
Race 1: JADEED(1)
Jockey: K Zechner   - Trainer: J STRYDOM

JADEED is way better than his excusable last outing and the cut-back to this minimum trip on his most successful surface should suit the sparingly raced four-year old who could enjoy being equipped with blinkers. It is worth noting that this combination kicked off proceedings at this venue a week ago.
