Manchester United got their Premier League campaign off to a perfect start with a 4-0 victory over Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday. Marcus Rashford scored twice and Anthony Martial and Daniel James were also on target.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's 60th minute goal proved to be the difference between Arsenal and Newcastle in a hotly contested Premier League encounter at St James' Park on Sunday.

Lions stunned by 14-man Bulls

Despite playing the vast majority of the match with inferior numbers, the Bulls managed to claim a morale-boosting 24-31 win in the Currie Cup at Ellis Park on Saturday.

Fred Eksteen was red-carded in the 19th minute, leaving the Bulls to play for over an hour with just 14 men. On top of that, Andries Ferreira was sin-binned in the 61st minute, meaning the visitors had a spell of 10 minutes with just 13 players on the field.



Sharks claim vital win

The Sharks kept their slim Currie Cup semi-final hopes alive with a dramatic 27-20 win over the Free State Cheetahs at Kings Park on Saturday.

It was a tightly-contested affair and the two sides were only separated by the superior kicking accuracy of Sharks flyhalf Curwin Bosch and later Rhyno Smith.



Rafael Nadal beats Danill Medvedev to claim Canadian Open

Nadal wrapped up a 6-3 6-0 win in one hour 10 minutes in Montreal for his fifth Canadian crown.



England beat Wales in World Cup prep match

England beat Wales in a world cup warm up game in Twickenham on Sunday the 11th of August.
