Tips Today - Tuesday - Horse Racing - Hollywoodbets

Neil Morrice brings us all of his best bets and tips for Carlisle, Ffos Las, Lingfield and Nottingham.

Carlisle Best Bets

Race 4: BODYLINE (1)
Trainer: Sir Mark Prescott
Jockey: Ryan Tate

The way BODYLINE finished off his race at Epsom after getting detached in the early stages strongly suggests he will appreciate the stiff finish here. The concession of 12lbs to the filly Tulip Fields will not be easy, but that first win was a big step up on his debut and he has the strength and power to outpoint his foes.

Race 6: TWIN APPEAL (1)
Trainer: Karen Tutty
Jockey: Gemma Tutty

TWIN APPEAL has discovered some form of late and after opening his seasonal account was arguably unlucky not to do better at Catterick last time where the easy track didn't suit his style of racing. By the time her found top gear the birds had flown, and he was still two and a quarter lengths adrift of International Man at the post. He seems certain to be happier on this more demanding course.

Ffos Las Best Bets

Trainer: Richard Hannon
Jockey: Sean Levey

By way of greenness, VENTURA BOUNTY was denied a debut success at Nottingham. In that six-furlong contest the colt took a while for the penny to drop, and after losing out in a head to head with the more experienced Visible Charm was coming back at that rival, who has franked the form, at the finish. The selection has come on for his first outing and will appreciate the longer trip.

Trainer: Mick Channon
Jockey: Scott McCullough

Things haven't panned out for BEER WITH THE BOYS since his belated return to the fray but this is a real chance for him to show his true colours. The marathon trip can be blamed for his demise at Bath and in a big step back on the distance ladder he should be in his comfort zone. Furthermore, his task is aided by the presence of his capable apprentice rider, who takes 5lb off his back.

Lingfield Best Bets

Race 6: GLORIOUS JEM (7)
Trainer: David Lanigan
Jockey: Daniel Muscutt

As the least experienced in this all-aged handicap, GLORIOUS JEM has scope for improvement from a stable that never rushes its inmates. In five career starts the selection has troubled the judge on four occasions and it was encouraging to see her rally after trying to lead throughout at Chepstow last time. A repeat of that run would see Glorious JEM firmly in the mix.

Nottingham Best Bets

Race 5: TADAANY (7)
Trainer: Ruth Carr
Jockey: James Sullivan

TADAANY gets a chance to show himself as a well-treated sprinter for a yard that excels with that part of the spectrum. As a hold-up specialist, he requires luck at the business end of his races, but there shouldn't be an issue with just six opponents in what is a very winnable contest.

Race 6: CUPIS'S ARROW (2)
Trainer: Ruth Carr
Jockey: Joe Garrity

From the same stable, CUPID'S ARROW is a pace setter that enjoys the perfect gate slot one off the rail to acquire a handy early position, if not the outright lead. The 5yo faded towards the end of his recent visit here, but that was over six furlongs and this drop to the minimum is just what he wants.
