UK Racing Best Bets - Tuesday 10 September

Tuesday 10 September

Neil Morrice brings us all of his best bets and tips from UK Racing at Catterick, Leicester, Kelso and Worcester on Tuesday 10 September.

Catterick Best Bets

Race 1: KENDRED SOUL (1)
Trainer: Jedd O'Keeffe
Jockey: Joe Garrity

The penalised KENDRED SOUL looked better the further he travelled when opening his account at Beverley and under a penalty will make a good fist of following-up over an extra furlong. He's progressed from race to race and as the only winner in the field is the one they all have to beat.

Race 5: BURTONWOOD (6)
Trainer: Julie Camacho
Jockey: Graham Lee

Hold up performer BURTONWOOD is a winner waiting to happen and just needs the cards to fall right in the closing stages. He's knocked on the door on his last three outings, doing his best work at the finish. With a couple of confirmed front runners in today's field he should get the strong pace he needs to aim at and he has to go well.

Leicester Best Bets

Race 2: BLACK COMEDY (2)
Trainer: Richard Hannon
Jockey: Sean Levey

There are several top stables represented and any market moves in favour of the likes of Warning Shot, Steer and Amaan should be noted. However, the claims of BLACK COMEDY are there for all to see and he looked clued up on his debut when getting reeled in by It's Good To Laugh inside the final furlong. He's worked well subsequently, and should prove hard to beat.

Race 6: CHATHAM HOUSE (6)
Trainer: Richard Hannon
Jockey: Sean Levey

In a compressed handicap in which just 5lb separates the top and bottom weights, CHATHAM HOUSE can continue his progression and return to winning ways. After stylishly opening his account he's gone close at Newmarket and Brighton where he couldn't get past Red Alert following heavy support on course. He can now show that those losses are merely lent.

Kelso Best Bets

Race 1: WOOSTER (4)
Trainer: N Kelly
Jockey: James Bowen

Three winners compete under penalties in this interesting novice hurdle but the one to be on is WOOSTER. He made a lasting impression with his stalking success at Cartmel at the Bank Holiday fixture, ultimately running out a wide margin scorer over Raashdy. He could be named the winner some way out, was good value for his margin of victory and can go in again.

Race 7: CESAR DU GOUET (1)
Trainer: Olly Murphy
Jockey: Fergus Gregory

As the only front runner in what's sure to turn into a tactical race, CESAR DU GOUET can soon stamp his authority. The top weight was gunned down by Bagan at Stratford but deserves a chance to bounce back, even though his conqueror did nothing to uphold the form when unplaced on Saturday.

Worcester Best Bets

Race 7: CARDY  (1)
Trainer: Harry Whittington
Jockey: Mr Jamie Niels

CARDY scored at this venue two starts ago. She then failed to get home when stepping up in trip, but has been in very good form since. Dropping back to two and a half miles with a competent amateur in the saddle that knows her, she has every chance of bouncing back in a race where whips are not allowed.
