Well, what an opening weekend that was. We had some high-scoring thrillers and a few narrow nail-bitters. Hopefully Round 2 delivers and equally palatable viewing.

Bath v Exeter Chiefs
Friday 25 October
Recreation Ground
20:35

To Win (80 Mins)
Bath 22/10
Draw 18/1
Exeter 7/10

Handicap
Bath (+6.5) 17/20
Exeter (-6.5) 17/20

Bath will be looking to bounce back from their mammoth 43-16 defeat to Bristol when they take on an Exeter side that were far from convincing during their three-point victory over Harlequins.

The hosts were all of the place defensively last weekend and will need to work hard to plug the gaps against an Exeter side with strong centres and dangerous outside backs.

Verdict: Exeter (-6.5) 17/20
I can see the visitors taking this one by between 13 and 18 points.

Northampton Saints v Worcester Warriors
Saturday 26 October
Franklin's Gardens
15:00

To Win (80 Mins)
Northampton 1/4
Draw 25/1
Worcester 31/10

The Northampton Saints will be looking to build on their 25-27 victory over reigning champions Saracens when they take on a Worcester side that beat Leicester 24-16 in the opening round.

Northampton were full value for either win as they were solid with ball in hand and didn't pass up on the opportunities presented to them. They will need to do the same against a Worcester side that will be fired up after their opening day victory.

Verdict: Northampton 1/4
I reckon the Sainst will take this one by between 7 and 14 points.

Gloucester v Wasps
Saturday 26 October
Kindsholm Stadium
16:00

To Win (80 Mins)
Gloucester 2/11
Draw 20/1
Wasps 4/1

Gloucester will be looking to build on their hard fought 16-18 away win over Sales when they take on a Wasps side that went down 26-29 to promoted London Irish.

Verdict: Gloucester 2/11
Wasps are going to have a very hard time against Gloucester. While they have talented individuals on their side, they are far from a cohesive unit.

London Irish v Sale Sharks
Saturday 26 October
Madejski Stadium
16:00

To Win (80 Mins)
London Irish 16/10
Draw 20/1
Sale  11/20

London Irish will be looking to mark their return to the Premiership with back to back wins when they take on a Sale Sharks side who will be smarting after their narrow defeat to Gloucester last weekend.

Irish will be high on confidence having beaten Wasps by three-points in Round 1. They played a smart brand of rugby and if they can do the same here they may just get one over Sale.

Verdict: London Irish 16/10
I rather fancy the hosts here. If they keep it tight and use their pack they should get the victory.

Harlequins v Bristol Bears
Saturday 26 October
Twickenham Stoop
16:00

To Win (80 Mins)
Harlequins 7/20
Draw 20/1
Bristol 9/4

'Quins will be looking to bounce back from their three-point defeat to Exeter when they take on a Bristol side that will be mightily pumped up having beaten Bath by 27 points in the opening round.

Verdict:  Bristol Bears 9/4
The Chiefs looked rather sluggish last weekend and they will need to to fire on all cylinders here as Bristol are in red-hot form and have a very talented backline.

Leicester Tigers v Saracens
Sunday 27 October
Welford Road
17:00

To Win (80 Mins)
Leicester 17/20
Draw 20/1
Saracens 5/10

Saracens will be looking to bounce back from their two point home defeat to Northampton when they take on a Leicester side that suffered an eight-point defeat to Worcester last weekend.

Saracens are still missing a whole host of stars and will be for a few weeks with England involved in the World Cup. Leicester offer an easy task then Northampton, however.

Verdict: Saracens 5/10
I'm expecting to Sarries to bounce back here with a win in excess of 10 points.
