UK Racing Tips - Thursday 10 October 2019

Neil Morrice brings us all of his best bets and tips for Thursday's racing at Ayr, Kempton,Worcester and Exeter.

Ayr Best Bet

Race 5: FOREVER A LADY (5)
Trainer: Keith Dalgleish
Jockey: Joe Fanning

Running nicely into form and usually at her best in the autumn, FOREVER A LADY can underline her well-being with another course win. She will revel in the soft ground and signalled with a near miss against Stamp Of Authority over this seven furlongs that she’s ready to come good.

Trainer: Oliver Greenall
Jockey: Kevin Scott
The recent course winning form over this trip sends out a positive vibe for top weight GAMESTERS ICON who is performing at his peak and will love the conditions. He looked good value for his margin of victory over Highway To Heaven and is reported to have taken it well.

Kempton Best Bets

Trainer: Roger Varian
Jockey: Silvestri de Sousa

PREMIER POWER should have the whip hand over his foes in this novice and can underline the promise of his debut near miss by going one better. In spite of pulling for his head he was only denied in the final couple of strides by Powertrain in that Newmarket contest and he’s pleased his connections subsequently.

Race 6: HONFLEUR (10)
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute
Jockey: Marco Ghiani

The lightly raced HONFLEUR takes the eye in this fillies only Class 4 handicap. With the added assistance of first time blinkers and a capable apprentice who takes 5lb off her back she can step up on the promise shown on her last two outings. The way she came from an unpromising position after blowing the start on her handicap debut at Yarmouth suggests she will be doing her best work at the finish back on the Polytrack.

Worcester Best Bets

Race 5: DO YOU KNOW WHAT (6)
Trainer: Dan Skelton
Jockey: Harry Skelton

The Skeltons are rampant in these early weeks of the jumps season and DO YOU KNOW WHAT is the subject of favourable reports for this after scoring over the course and distance and getting caught in the closing stages of his latest start at Fontwell. His supporters left a good amount in the betting ring that day but can now get it back with interest.

Race 6: OLLY THE BRAVE (8)
Trainer: Dan Skelton
Jockey: Harry Skelton
This novice hurdle looks to have cut up favourably for OLLY THE BRAVE who when last seen winning a bumper in May was clearly on the upgrade. He’s reported to have schooled well ahead of his switch to obstacles and can confirm the superiority shown that day at Southwell over Old Jeroboam.

Exeter Best Bets

Race 1: SIZING TARA  (5)
Trainer: Colin Tizzard
Jockey: Harry Kimber

SIZING TARA could hardly have been more impressive in each of his successes at Newton Abbot and is in a good spot to complete a hat-trick. He’s not come off the bridle which gives the assessor a headache trying to counter his progression but his 8lb rise is combated by his jockey’s 10lb claim and there should be more to come.

Race 4: NIFTY AT FIFTY (6)
Trainer: Jeremy Scott
Jockey: Rex Dingle

Having been thwarted from landing an old fashioned touch at Southwell, NIFTY AT FIFTY can go one better in this novices’ handicap hurdle. He would have caught Sandy Boy in another stride at Southwell, while the run is thought by connections to have brought him on.
