UK Racing Best Bets - Tuesday 19 November 2019

Tuesday 19 November 2019

Neil Morrice brings us all of his best bets and tips from UK Racing at Kempton Park, Chelmsford, Fakenham and Lingfield on Tuesday 19 November.

Kempton Park Best Bets

Race 1: BEAUVAIS (1)
Trainer: Saeed Bin Suroor
Jockey: George Wood

In a race that looks destined to go to Godolphin BEAUVAIS can defy a more than 500-day lay off to thwart Dubai Future. The selection unquestionably has the best credentials as he was an impressive scorer on his debut before going down by half a length to the much improved Bayshore Freeway at Pontefract. He then met with a training setback but the vibes are strong that he’s come back as good as ever.

Race 2: BOOK REVIEW (3)
Trainer: John Gosden
Jockey: Kieran Shoemark

This looks a match up between Laser Show and BOOK REVIEW and preference is for the latter who gets 7lb from his penalized foe. The selection showed greenness on his Nottingham introduction but picked up well at the finish to run the vastly more experienced Salamanca School to a length and a half. He now switches from heavy ground to Polytrack but has worked well on an identical surface at home.

Race 5: ALL YOURS (8)
Trainer: Sean Curran
Jockey: Joey Haynes

The upwardly mobile ALL YOURS can cement a hat-trick in this Class 2. The 8yo drops back 9n the distance ladder and moves up two bands in the handicap spectrum but he has an engaging profile and probably hasn’t stopped improving. His shrewd trainer knows what he has to conjure with, and after blowing away his rivals over a mile and a half here last month he’s ready to further consolidate.

Chelmsford Best Bets

Race 2: TANTIVY (3)
Trainer: Richard Hannon
Jockey: James Doyle

TANTIVY has been looking for the slightly longer trip he’s afforded in this nursery and is poised for a first career triumph. With just four opponents a tactical contest looks assured but he has the wherewithal to repel all challengers. Despite running keenly he finished off his race powerfully in heavy ground at Newmarket lending the theory that his pilot might want to make plenty of use of him.

Race 4: RIDESON (13)
Trainer: Roger Varian
Jockey: Kieran Shoemark

Granted she has a cracking drawn three off the rail in this big field of fillies together with a cracking first effort under her belt RIDESON can open her account. She attracted a welter of support on that debut in which she overcame a sluggish start to stay on strongly into second and ultimately beaten in a photo by Tadreej. She’s likely to come on for that outing and will appreciate today’s extra furlong.

Fakenham Best Bets

Race 3: DIVA (1)
Trainer: Phil Middleton
Jockey: Sam Lee

Fresh from sending out a big priced winner at Cheltenham, this small stable can deliver with EVA’S DIVA who makes her handicap debut on the back of a couple of near misses including when attempting to make all over this course and distance but being reeled in by Red Force One. She needs to get the better of Paricolor in the early stages and if doing that can go from tape to finishing line.

Race 5: PULL TOGETHER (2)
Trainer: Stuart Edmunds
Jockey: Cieren Gethings

Master Vintage will be all the rage in his hat-trick bid after an bold all the way win at Huntingdon but the value could lie with PULL TOGETHER on his seasonal return. Lightly raced with just three appearances last season he is better than he showed and can now rekindle the promise of his novice hurdle performances two years ago.

Lingfield Best Bets

Race 3: EURKASH (3)
Trainer: Paul Webber
Jockey: William Kennedy

EURKASH has plenty to do on the book but there’s a wild card element to the lightly-raced gelding whose stable has been quietly firing in some winners. His frame finish at Ludlow last month involved a 25 lengths defeat by the winner Ballinsker but with a more settled display he can improve to belie his starting price.

Race 5: BARNTOWN (5)
Trainer: Tim Vaughan
Jockey: Alan Johns

BARNTOWN’s supporters will be looking for a boost from Ruacarna who contests an earlier race. When the pair met here last week the strong travelling Barntown had seized command and looked sure to win only to tip up at the final flight. He is the proverbial winner without a penalty, and as he’s none the worse for the spill can take advantage of a big weight concession from his rivals.
