UK Racing Tips - Monday 25 November 2019

Jockeys ride horses

Neil Morrice brings us all of his best bets and tips for Monday's racing at Kempton Park, Ludlow and Musselburgh.

Kempton Park Best Bets
Race 2: THE BIG BITE (5)
Trainer: Tom George
Jockey: Jonathan Burke

The field includes last season’s Supreme Hurdle runner-up Thomas Darby but he made mistakes when beaten at Warwick last time, making THE BIG BITE a better value proposition. The 6yo rubbed shoulders with some crack novices last season and has always promised to be more in his element over fences. He’s schooled and worked well in preparation for this.

Race 4: DOCTOR DEX (3)
Trainer: Tom George
Jockey: Jonathan Burke

In spite of going up 8lb, DOCTOR DEX is confidently expected to confirm recent Ascot placings with On The Slopes. The selection looked a natural for fences when beating that foe by two and a half lengths and can continue on an upward curve in a potentially rewarding season.

Race 5: CRACKER JAK (14) (Each Way)
Trainer: Suzie Smith
Jockey: Aidan Coleman

CRACKER JAK should not be underestimated getting weight from all but one of his rivals. The 5yo ended the 2018/19 campaign on the crest of a wave and looked to be running back into form when fourth to As I See It at Exeter last month. This is a competitive heat but he has the wherewithal to get into the money.

Ludlow Best Bets

Trainer: Fergal O’Brien
Jockey: Paddy Brennan

Although frustrating to follow, HURRICANE HARVEY looks to have a great chance of finally opening his account after finishing second onfour of his last five outings. He was without doubt unlucky not to deliver at Huntingdon last time when interference on the home turn cost him more ground than that he was eventually beaten by. He deserves a change of luck.

Race 6: HOLD THE NOTE (3)
Trainer: Mick Channon
Jockey: Adrian Heskin

A horse to follow this season is HOLD THE NOTE who is more than capable of taking down some more experienced rivals on his debut over fences. The 5yo has done plenty of schooling at Henrietta Knight’s and has worked well with Ladbroke Trophy-bound Mister Whitaker. He’s a fine specimen for chasing.
Musselburgh Best Bets
Trainer: Miss Kelly Morgan
Jockey: David Noonan

A penalty for winning at Market Rasen shouldn’t prevent TIMETOCHILL for whom connections have fo7nd a soft race. She turned over a strong favourite that day, yet has noth8ng of that calibre to worry about. Her bold front runn8ng tactics should soon have most of these in trouble.

Trainer: Jedd O’Keeffe
Jockey: Joe Colliver

REMEMBER THE DAYS ran a cracker when third to Native Fighter in a big field at Carlisle and will be hard to beat if building on that pleasing reappearance. Back over hurdles and down in grade, the 5yo gives away weight all round but could easily be up to the task in hand.
