Friday 28 February

Gloucester v Sale
21h45
Kingsholm Stadium

Gloucester will look to arrest their four-game losing streak when they host Sale at the Kingsholm Stadium on Friday.

Johan Ackermann’s side haven’t won since their 29-6 result over Montpellier in early January. Now sitting seventh on the Gallagher standings, they need a mid-season fightback if they are to break into the playoff berths.

Sale are now second after their big win at home over the Tigers last week. Despite the close-knit nature of the competition, they look likely to go on to claim a semi-final place at this stage.

Verdict: Gloucester
Despite their lack of confidence, the hosts should have enough quality to get back to winning ways here.

Saturday 29 February

Northampton v Saracens
17h00
Franklin’s Gardens

Saints should be wary of a Saracens backlash when they host the champions at Franklin’s Gardens on Saturday.

Sarries were totally outplayed 60-10 at the Ricoh Arena last week. That result won’t sit well with them and you’d expect a big retaliation here.

Northampton need to anticipate a big performance from their rivals here. Anything less and they may be in for a hiding.

Verdict: Saracens
Saracens are good enough to respond to last week’s setback with a big win at Franklin’s Gardens.

Leicester v Worcester
17h00
Welford Road

Leicester can draw level on points with Worcester when they clash at Welford Road on Saturday.

The 10th-placed visitors are four points ahead of the Tigers. Considering their results this season, they really can’t afford a slip up.

But then, neither can Leicester. Their big loss to Sale last week was another blow for them and they will look to make amends here.

Verdict: Leicester
Leicester will take it at home.

Harlequins v Exeter
17h00
The Stoop

Harlequins host leaders Exeter at The Stoop on Saturday.

Quins have won just four from their 11-matches so far. Still, they are just seven points shy of the playoff and will continue to fight this season.

The Chiefs have been fantastic again, certainly the most consistent side in the competition. They’d back themselves here.

Verdict: Exeter
Exeter should sneak this away from home.

Sunday 1 March

London Irish v Wasps
16h30
Madejski Stadium

Both London Irish and Wasps will look to back up their big wins last week with another at the Madejski Stadium on Sunday.

The hosts beat Gloucester 24-20 at home last week. That win will give them plenty of belief heading into this weekend.

Meanwhile, Wasps delivered the shock of the last round with a 60-10 thumping of Saracens. In the midst of the exit of Dai Young, this could be just the result they need to get their season truly up and running.

Verdict: Wasps
On the basis of last week, they will be too good at the Madejski.

Bath v Bristol
17h00
The Rec

Bath can force their way into the playoff spots with a win over Bristol at The Rec on Sunday.

Bath are in fifth and just a point shy of their third-placed opponents this week. A victory at home will see them leapfrog the Bears.

Bristol, though, have hit a purple patch in winning three matches in a row. They will be more than up for it here.

Verdict: Bath
The hosts should claim a narrow W at The Rec.
