Race 1
CHEWIE TWO is an unraced son of Uncle Mo from the Richard and Martin Freedman stable. He produced a promising barrier trial leading into this race. Keagan Latham does duty this afternoon and if not too green, he could get his career off to a winning start. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances. MIDSUMMER RAIN is an unraced daughter of Manhattan Rain from the Clare Cunningham yard. She has had two barrier trials coming into her debut, winning her latest trial. Andrew Gibbons takes the ride and any betting support for her will need to be taken seriously.

Race 2
SIGNIFICANCE is the best bet on today’s programme. He was his own worst enemy in his last start as he overraced in the early and middle stages of the race. He finished runner-up in his penultimate outing over seven furlongs at Kembla Grange. If jockey Tom Sherry can switch the son of Frankel off early, he should be tough to beat in this type of field. STILLER has just had the two runs thus far. He made the expected natural improvement in his last start over the seven furlongs at Goulburn. The step up to the mile should suit him well and with further natural progression that is expected, he should be right there in the run down to the finishing post.

Race 3
BLUEANT produced a promising debut effort over this distance at Randwick. He didn’t get off to the best of starts that day, but the manner in which he finished off his race was encouraging. With the natural improvement that is expected, he has a good chance of winning in this line-up. He does have a wide draw to negotiate, but the able Keagan Latham does duty and he will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle. KILLIN showed some promising form before being rested for just under a year. He has had four barrier trials leading into this race and if not in need of the run, he should pose the biggest threat to the top selection.

Race 4
DIS DAH WUN is an unraced daughter of Dissident from the Michael Wayne and John Hawkes stable. She was a winner of both her barrier trials leading into this event. Mitchell Bell takes the ride this afternoon and if not too green, she could get he career off to a winning start. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances. RED HOT MOON produced a promising debut effort when beaten just under half a length. She is drawn in pole position this afternoon and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should throw out a big challenge to the top selection.

Race 5
AUSSIE is a lightly raced son of Snitzel from the Bjorn Baker stable. He has been rested 20 weeks since his last run where he finished runner-up. He has produced two good barrier trials leading into his stable debut and should come into the race at peak fitness. He has won once and finished second once in as many outings over this distance. Keagan Latham does duty today and the pair may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure. HIEMEL is coming off a well-deserved 18-week lay-off. He won three races on the trot before finishing runner-up in his latest outing. He produced a good barrier trial coming into this race and should pose a threat to the top choice.

Race 6
DISCOMBE is the value bet on today’s programme. He is in very good form having won twice and finished second in the others two outings. His record over this distance is good with a win, two seconds and a third-place finish. The son of Redoute’s Choice is likely to race up with the pace and should be hard to peg back in the closing stages. AESOP’S FABLE showed good signs of a form return in her last start. She was eased in the early stages and raced three wide before chasing down the winner a little too late. She won her only attempt over this distance and should give the males a good run for their money today.

Race 7
DAPHNE JEAN is unbeaten in two starts to date both of which were on this course. She had to check at the 500m mark last time, but chased down to the frontrunners to get the win. Grant Buckley who was aboard the daughter Your Song last time retains the ride and the pair should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure once again. BADIA won her maiden last time. She does take on a lot stronger this afternoon, but the manner in which she won last time suggests that there is more to come. Keagan Latham does duty and the pair should be right there in the run down to the finishing post.
