Race 1
SPINNING SPIRIT is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she followed up her maiden win over 1050M with close up second next time out over five furlongs. She will be aided by having 2kgs removed from her back thanks to her claiming apprentice. IN HER ZONE is a 4yr old filly who nearly caused an upset when beaten into third place last time out over six furlongs. She is a speedy sort who will certainly appreciate the drop in distance. SUPER LEON returns from a 33-week break. He finished second over five furlongs prior to the rest but has not had the benefit of a barrier trial. If returning fit, he should be respected here. SOLO ARTIST is a 6yr old mare who was making late progress last time out over five furlongs.

Race 2
A filly and a mare can complete the exacta here with MOTOMISS leading the charge. She won her maiden race last time out over five furlongs and will jump from a handy draw. She may prove difficult to topple today. BLACK JAGUAR is seldom too far off the action and looks to be the immediate danger to the former. BLAINE won his penultimate start over six furlongs and should be considered. ALEJANDRA is a 6yr old mare who put in a solid effort in her penultimate outing over five furlongs and should also be considered for minor places.

Race 3
As was the case in the previous race, the fillies/mares look to dominate the finish and they could complete the trifecta here. OKANAGAN MISS is a 5yr old mare who set the pace and then fought off all challengers to win her last start over 1300M. She is sure to enjoy the drop in trip and may prove difficult to peg back over the closing stages. COSSIE is a 4yr old filly who has consistent formlines to her name and could represent the biggest threat to the top selection. LINE UP is a 5yr old mare who showed good improvement last time out over five furlongs. LAST EDITION could be the first male home. His last two runs have been solid and he starts from a mid-field draw.

Race 4
The Currie stable looks to have a strong hand in this race and the yard could saddle the first two past the post. The marginal first choice goes to WRITE THE RULES who is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but who has put in two solid performances over five furlongs and although drawn wide, she should be doing her best work late. Her stable companion MISHANI COURAGE is also drawn wide, but he should use his early gate speed to get across to negate that fact. BAREFOOT TYCOON was only beaten by a half a length last time out over six furlongs and could be the one to spoil the Currie party. EAST ESPLANADE won his last start over six furlongs and will jump from pole position.

Race 5
DANNIWILLBREEZONBY is a 5yr old mare taking on males, but she has consistent formlines to her credit and did finish second last time out over a mile. BATTLE PLANE raced up with the pace last time out and then was just run out of it in the closing stages over a mile. Although RICHEST finished fifth last time out over a mile, he was only 2.1L behind the winner and should be respected here. CLEAR SAILING is a 6yr old mare who is drawn the widest of them all, but she finished third last time out over nine furlongs and should be reeling in the pack in the dash down to the wire.

Race 6
CONCAVE has consistent form to his name and was only a length and a half off the winner last time out over nine furlongs. He will be looking to put in another honest performance here. TAKEITTOTHELIMIT is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she finished third last time out over nine furlongs and could be the biggest threat to the former, starting from gate two. MOSS GO NOW followed up his win over ten furlongs with a solid effort next outing over the same distance. He should be right up there in the mix. ALADINA is a 5yr old mare who was bumped at the start in her last outing and that run is best ignored. She must have some sort of chance on some of her better efforts.

Race 7
GENG jumps from pole position which is a big advantage over this trip. If he is able to reproduce his penultimate effort when winning over five furlongs, he could be the one that they all have to beat. CUPID’S AFFAIR returns from a lengthy 75 week absence, but he won this last outing over six furlongs before the break and if returning fresh, he could be involved in the finish. BLACK JAGUAR is a 5yr old mare taking on males, but she is a speedy sort who will certainly enjoy the drop in trip. I AM COURAGE returns from an 11-week rest and is sure to be running at the leaders over the closing stages

Race 8
An open race for 2yr old’s and only one colt takes his place in the line-up, so the finish could be dominated by the fillies. There are also four runners who make their debut here and they won’t have to be superstars to win this contest. Keep an eye on the betting to see if any of them are fancied by their connections. Of the raced runners, ELKA ELEVEN may be the pick. She drops down in distance after not quite going on with her effort last time out over six furlongs. ALL GOOD MILLO also drops in trip and may improve on her last outing over five furlongs. BLOODBLISTER returns from a 20-week rest and did win over five furlongs on debut. She has cracked pole position and should be respected here. KATINA THE CAT gets a set of blinkers fitted for the first time and these could assist her performance today.

Race 9
Another open race where finding the winner is no easy task. BLACKJACK ROSE is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she finished third on debut over five furlongs and is sure to have come on with the run under her belt. She gets blinkers fitted for the first time and if these have the desired effect, she should be right up there in the firing line. HICKSON finished 4.6L off the winner last time out over six furlongs, but starts from pole position and should be given another chance here. UNUSUAL AUNT is a 3yr old filly who drops back to sprinting after three outings over a mile and may do better as a result. BOOMTOWN BABE is a 4yr old filly who steps up in trip and should be considered in this field.

Race 10
CHARMACYS returns from a 36-week break and did not finish that far off the winner when making his debut over six furlongs. He is likely to have strengthened during his rest and jumping from pole position, he should be considered a serious player in this contest. HARRYUP put up a commendable effort over six furlongs when returning from a 18-week rest. If he is able to reproduce that effort here, he should be right up there when they reach the winning post. JUXTAPOSED has his peak run here and was not too far back last time out over six furlongs. TO LOVE SOMEBODY stayed on last time out over 1100M suggesting that the step up in distance will be to his liking.
