Race 4
CABINHO has consistent formlines to his credit and finished strongly last time out over seven furlongs when only denied victory in the shadow of the post. On that effort and from a handy gate three, he looks to be the one that they all have to beat today. BUTTERCUP BABY is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she was making good late progress last time out over seven furlongs and could be the biggest danger to the top pick. TAKATOKA returns from a 18 week rest and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial. He finished second when making his debut over a mile and if not too much in need of the run, he could be involved in the finish here. TOVOLO GAP is another 3yr old filly. She has only had the two runs to date and did show the expected improvement second time out. If she has continued down that same path, she could be a factor in this line-up.

Race 5
CLEVER BLAZE is a 6yr old mare taking on males, but she showed good improvement when putting three lengths between herself and the rest of the field when winning over 1500M last time out. She has a wide draw of ten to overcome, but if she is able to confirm that last effort, she should be right up there when they hit the line. NANGAWOOKA finished second last time out over 1700M when friendless in the betting markets. He has a wideish eight gate, but if he repeats that last run, he could trouble the former. REALLY SWISH followed up his win three runs back with two solid performances over seven furlongs. The extra ground on offer here should be to his liking. GREEN IVY stayed on well last time out over seven furlongs, suggesting that stepping up to the mile today will be right up his street

Race 6
MISS SKEPTICAL has consistent form to her name, having finished second in her last three outings, the latest when the runner-up over seven furlongs, only 0.8L behind the winner. She looks to be the value bet on today’s program. HAILEYBURY MISS has her first run after a 23 week break and has not had a barrier trial, so her fitness will have to be taken on trust. On some of her better runs however, she should be respected in this field. ACROSS THE WAY followed up her penultimate win over six furlongs with and encouraging last effort over 1300M. She is sure to enjoy going over the extra trip. GIVE ME TEN was a tad disappointing in her last outing over a mile, but the blinkers are removed for today’s run and she could do better as a result.

Race 7
SHADOW GODDESS won by two lengths when making his debut over six furlongs and could be just about anything. He does have a wide draw of thirteen to negotiate, but he would have learnt from his experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, he could complete the double here. FIGHTING WHISKEY returns from a 19 week break during which time he was gelded. He won over seven furlongs at the second time of asking and has cracked pole position today. He could be the immediate threat to the former. BISSEL was a little disappointing last time out over 1350M, but if he is able to bounce back to previous form, he should be considered. THE EXECUTIONER steps up from six furlongs and gets a set of blinkers fitted for the first time. If these have the desired effect, he should make his presence felt here.

Race 8
DIODE returns from a 18 week rest and has his first run for his new trainer. He drops back to six furlongs which should be to his liking and if he has settled into his new environment, he may be the one to side with today. HOROWITZ has shown improvement in his last two runs, culminating with his maiden victory over 1100M. He takes on stronger here, but he may just be up to the task on hand. TAI SHAN led from jump to wire to win his maiden race last time out over this distance. He has a handy five draw and could well attempt similar tactic in this contest and prove difficult to reel in over the closing stages. LANSBROOK will be looking to repeat his penultimate effort when winning over six furlongs. He has drawn wide at eleven, but could use his early gate speed to move across without using up too much energy.
