Race 5
WINDSTORM is looking to complete his hat-trick here after winning his last two outings over 1300M, the latest at this venue. He finished strongly that day and has cracked pole position here. The shorter trip should not be an issue and he is taken to be the best bet on today’s card. SON OF A GOD just lasted long enough to win his last outing over this c&d. He has a wide draw of ten to overcome, but he still looks to be the biggest danger to the top choice. MILITARY RULER is seldom far off the winner and finished second in his last start over 1300M at this track. He is drawn in gate seven and is likely to put in another honest performance here.

Race 6
Two mares and a filly look like they will fight out the finish to this race and complete the trifecta. FLOWER OF SCOTLAND is looking to make it four victories in a row after completing her hat-trick last time out over five furlongs. She steps up in trip today, but has a handy three draw and will be hoping to continue on her winning ways. She won’t have things all her own way however as INSPIRATIONAL GIRL is seeking her own trio of wins here after winning her last two starts over a mile. She does return from a 20 week rest, but she has put in two solid barrier trials to prove her fitness. SKINNEN TINS finished third in her last outing over a mile, but is at home with the seven furlong journey. She has a wide draw of ten to deal with, but she likes to be up with the pace in her races, so this may not be too big an issue.

Race 7
This looks to be an extremely open even with plenty runners having solid claims, but which is made more difficult as many of the main contenders have wide draws to deal with.  ROMAN FLIRT is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys. She missed out on her hat-trick last time out when third over 2100M at this venue and is drawn very wide at gate seventeen, but she will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways today. SENTIMENTAL GIFT is another 4yr old filly. She has her second start after a 25 week absence, but she has finished second in her last three starts and will be hoping to go one better here. She is however only slightly better drawn at thirteen. UNCLE LINO showed good improvement finishing second when stepping up to this trip last time out. He was friendless in the betting markets that day, but is far better drawn at gate five. BARAMAGIC is a 6yr old mare who whilst finishing fifth last time out, was only 2.3L behind the winner. She is unfortunately drawn the widest of them all, which won’t make things easy for her, but nevertheless, she should be included in all bets.

Race 8
ESSENTIAL SPICE is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she has recorded two solid efforts over this trip, the latest when beaten a short-head on this track. She jumps from draw four and looks to be the value in the race. SAMIZDAT has his first run after a 33 week break, but he did post an encouraging barrier trial to show his wellbeing. He had consistent formlines to his credit before the rest and from gate two, he looks the immediate danger to the former. FIRE AND RAIN has shown gradual improvement in his last two outings and was only run out of it late when ending up second in his latest start over five furlongs. He should be considered in this line-up despite having to negotiate a wide draw of ten.

Race 9
DEVOTED STAR is a 4yr old filly taking on boys, but she had her consistency rewarded with a victory last time out over five furlongs. She is drawn in gate two and should not have any issue with going the extra ground here. SEMINOLE BRAVE has won his first two starts over six furlongs, including his debut over the c&d and has pulled pole position. He takes on stronger again today, but seems capable of completing his hat-trick. LEVITATE drops back from seven furlongs when finishing third, only 0.6L back from the winner. He is stuck out wide a thirteen, but he should use his early gate speed to move across without using up too much energy. DOUBLE THE PRO is drawn one inside the latter, but he goes for his hat-trick here after winning his last outing over the c&d. He should be right up the when they hit the line.
