Race 5
SENSITIVITY has her hat-trick attempt here after winning her last start over 1500M on the synthetic surface. She jumps from gate five and the trio of victories looks very much on the cards. RAFFINE made good improvement to finish second in her last outing over six furlongs at this venue. She was just a head behind the winner that day and looks to be the immediate danger to the top choice. HOT IN PARIS ran on strongly to be just 0.4L back in second place over six furlongs in her latest outing, suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to her liking.

Race 6
JUST JAKE had his consistency rewarded with his maiden victory last time out over this c&d. He takes on stronger here, but he won going away on that occasion and could well be up to the task on hand. He is drawn wide at gate ten, but nevertheless, he is taken to be the value bet on today’s program. BEERZ WITH CLINT on the other hand has cracked pole position. He showed marked improvement when making good late progress to finish second in his last outing over six furlongs, less than a length behind the winner. If he is able to confirm that effort, he should be involved in the finish. DISHY’S is seldom far off the action and stayed on gamely to end up second last time out over seven furlongs. He did finish third over the c&d in his penultimate start, so the drip in trip should not be an issue.

Race 7
This looks to be a tricky race and some caution is advised. BATTLE MASTER finished well to win his last run over seven furlongs and on that effort, he should have little problem handling the step up in distance. He starts from a mid-field draw and could be good enough to complete the double in this line-up. GINA LOLA is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she finished strongly to win by a length last time out over the c&d and should be involved in the finish once again. MIROKU has not been too far back in his last three outings over seven furlongs. He has a handy draw of gate three and looks likely to enjoy going over the extra ground. KING OF VANDALS fought off all late challengers when a narrow winner last time out over the c&d and if showing the same determination here, he should be included in all bets.

Race 8
With the late scratching of one of her main rivals, the way may have been cleared for ELDERFLOWER to record her third career victory. She won her penultimate start over the c&d and was not disgraced in her last outing over this trip. She gets to jump from gate three and will have 1.5kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming apprentice. She could prove hard to topple here. THE LAST NAPOLEON has his peak run today and was hampered in running last time out over the five furlongs and so can be forgiven for that below-par effort. He has a wideish draw of eight, but he should be right up there when they hit the line. RODDANDTODD is drawn one outside the latter, but his last two efforts over this c&d have been encouraging and he should be respected in this field.

Race 5
With the late scratching of one of the main contenders for top honors here, the way may have opened for CONTROLTHEWITNESS to record his fifth career victory. He has consistent formlines to his credit and finished second in his penultimate outing over this c&d, just one and a half lengths behind the winner. He will jump from a handy two draw and will have his chances for victory aided by having 2kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. He looks hard to topple here and is made the best bet on today’s card. KELVINSIDE stayed on well when finishing second last time out over 2100M. He has the widest draw of them all to overcome, but will have ex-SA jockey Glyn Schofield in the irons and will get all the necessary assistance from the saddle. ENDURING NIGHT is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys and is drawn one inside the latter. She was making late progress in her last outing over a mile and could enjoy the greater test of stamina today.

Race 6
GALLANT RUN will have the services of Glyn Scofield who will be hoping to edge ahead of the field here to record the colts maiden win after having finished second in his last two outings over 1100M. He was only outrun late in his latest start and will almost certainly appreciate the drop in distance. Despite his wide draw of nine, he is made the value in the race. WINDS OF WAR is a 2yr old colt taking on older horses, but he did finish third on debut over this trip, 2.5L behind the winner. He would have learnt from the experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, he should be involved in the finish here. CIRCULARITY is another 2yr colt. He made some improvement in his last start over five furlongs when returning from a 17-week rest. He will have 2kgs removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice.

Race 7
As with race five, the late scratching of a big runner in the contest may come to the assistance of CARTE BLANCHE to enable her to secure her third career win. She likes to race up with the pace and only just failed to hold on before finishing second last time out over this distance. She has a handy five draw and could be the one to side with here. EMPRESS BEA returns from a 20-week break but has put in two solid barrier trials to prove her well-being. She won her penultimate outing over this c&d and although drawn the widest of them all, she should be doing her best work over the closing stages of the race. RUBY TUESDAY was a tad disappointing last time out when having her second run after a rest, but did win over this c&d in her penultimate start. She jumps from gate three and will have 1.5kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming apprentice.

Race 8
FANTASY EAGLE has won two of his last three runs over this distance. He is drawn in gate four and will have a 3kg claiming apprentice in the saddle. This looks to be a tricky contest, but the weight advantage he is receiving may just tip the odds in his favor. TEMPLE RUN is seldom far off the winner and although seventh last time out over six furlongs, he was just three lengths back. He raced wide that day and despite having drawn gate eight today, he should be right up there in the mix. NIEWAND returns from a nine-week rest, but he won his barrier trial, and whilst disappointing in his run prior to the break, he did win his penultimate start over this trip. ALL FROM SCRAP is a speedy sort who steps up from his last outing over 1100m and may do better as a result. He will have a slightly less 2kgs removed from his weight for the services of his claiming apprentice. he will start from gate three and should be included in all bets.

Race 5
FORGOTTEN JEWEL has won his first two starts over seven furlongs, the latest when returning from a 19-week rest. He steps up to the mile today, but the manner in which he has dealt with the opposition when recording those victories would suggest that this trip is well within his capabilities. From his handy draw three, he is taken to be the best bet on today’s card. ROSIE RED DRESS is a 6yr old mare taking on the boys, but she was doing her best work late when improving to finish fifth, just 1.7L behind the winner last time out over seven furlongs. She jumps from gate five and should be involved in the finish here. TAP THE GO GO is another 6yr old mare. She has cracked pole position and was staying on when sixth last time out over seven furlongs, 2.6L behind the victor.

Race 6
This looks to be a tricky race and some caution is suggested. CARLTON CASTLE showed marked improvement in his last outing over a mile. If he is able to confirm that effort, he should be right up there when they hit the line. STELLA ANNE Is a 4yr old filly taking on males. She was hampered at the 200M mark when seventh last time out over a mile and should have finished closer as a result. She has a mid-field draw and could threaten the top pick. LAVISTARR is another 4yr old filly. She finished strongly last time out when fourth over a mile and from gate three, she should be considered for all bets. ME ‘N’ TAZ was only run out of it late last time out over seven furlongs. She has a wide draw of twelve to negotiate, but on the plus side, he will get 3kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice.

Race 7
This is another difficult contest which has plenty of runners with chances. HOT TECHNIQUE is a 3yr old filly taking on boys, but she won by 0.4L on debut over this c&d. She would have learnt from that experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, she should be a big runner here. COMFORT ME followed up his debut victory over 1100M with a fourth-place finish over the same trip. He returns from a 20-week rest but did win his barrier trial to prove his fitness. SCANDOLO has pulled pole position and is seldom far off the action. He has his first run since a 15-week break, but put up a solid barrier trial and should turn in another honest performance today. ROSES ARE RED Is another 3yr old filly who has only had the two runs to date, but she won first time out over the c&d and then followed that up with a fourth-place finish over five furlongs next time out. She has a wide draw of twelve to deal with, but she should nevertheless still be respected in this line-up.

Race 8
DRINKWHATYOULIKE Is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she has shown gradual improvement in her last two outings and raced up with the pace last time out over the c&d before ending up in third place, just 0.3L behind the winner. She is drawn the widest of them all, but given her style of running, this may not be a big issue. TRIPLE EVENT followed up his penultimate win over the c&d with a ninth-place finish over five furlongs, 3.7L behind the winner. He returns to the 1100M and should do better as a result. MISSING PRO Is a 4yr old filly who has consistent form to her name. She was only outrun late last time out when finishing fourth over five furlongs, just over a length and a half behind the winner. She is drawn twelve out of the thirteen runners, but on the credit side, she will have 3kgs taken off her allocated weight courtesy of her claiming apprentice.
