Race 6
The top three selections for this race have all drawn wide and luck in runner may play its part in determining the outcome. THE GREAT HANS is drawn out at gate eighteen, but followed up his penultimate run victory over six furlongs with a third place finish over this trip last time out, just under two lengths behind the winner. He is sure to be doing his best work late. EXCELMAN returns from a 16 week rest and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, so his fitness will have to be taken on trust. He jumps from gate sixteen and has the blinkers removed for the first time today. If this move has the desired effect, he should be right up there when they hit the line. VLADIVOSTOK made good late progress when second last time out over 1300M. He is drawn one inside the latter and should be involved in the finish today. TIGNANELLO on the other hand has a handy gate three. He stayed on well when four lengths back last time out over 1300M and should be included in all bets.

Race 7
MAGNOLIA MAN has his second run after a 29 week rest. He was clearly badly in need of his comeback outing, but if bouncing back to the form that saw him win his first two runs, be could prove difficult to topple here. He gets to jump from a handy gate three and is taken to be the best bet on today’s program. UNBLUSHING is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she won her maiden race last time out over this distance by 0.8L and whilst taking on stronger here, she may well be up to the task on hand. She is a speedy sort who will take advantage of her draw five. MAGNAJET played up shortly after the start of his last race and never got into the contest at all. That run should be totally ignore as he was immediately rested for 16 weeks after those antics. He returns here without having had a barrier trial, but he has cracked pole position and could have a say here.

Race 8
SHAM I AM battled all the way down to the wire when finishing eighth last time out over five furlongs and is sure to appreciate the extra ground on offer today. He starts from gate two and could be the value in the race. SIERRA SUE is a 4yr old filly taking on males and returns from a 17 week rest without having had a barrier trial. She won her penultimate start over 1732M at this track, but was then very disappointing next time out and was immediately rested. She has gate five and if getting back to her best form, she should threaten the top pick. NATIONAL CHOICE has his first run since a 16 week break and also has not had a barrier trial. He is lightly raced having only had the two starts to date, but he did win over 1212M on debut and then finished third next time out over six furlongs, so he clearly has some ability. He has draw ten to negotiate, but nevertheless should be included in all bets.

Race 9
VISCOSITY kept plugging on all the way down to the wire when finishing fourth last time out over 1411M in heavy going at this track, 3.3L behind the victor. The gelding has a handy draw of gate two and should be right up there in the firing line. CRIMINAL put three lengths between himself and the balance of the field when winning his maiden race last time out over 1611M at this venue. He took the lead at the 150M mark that day and then stayed on strongly to hold off the chasing pack. He is drawn out very wide at gate fifteen, but he should be picking off the frontrunners in the closing stages of the contest. SOMERSET MAUGHAM takes a big drop in distance from the 2100M of his last outing, but he did finish second in his penultimate start over 1623M and so should have little issue with the shorter journey here.
