Race 6
This looks to be a tricky event to kick off the Jackpot and some caution is suggested. GREAT BAY had his consistency rewarded with a victory last time out over seven furlongs by one and a half lengths. He has a wide draw of seventeen to negotiate, but he is likely to be dropped out of the race at the jump and should be picking off the leaders over the latter stages of the race. TYCHE GODDESS is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys and has an even wider draw at gate nineteen, but she finished strongly to win first time out over seven furlongs and could be almost anything. She would have come on with the run under her belt and should give a good account of herself here. SAINT PETER followed up his penultimate run victory over the mile with a seventh place finish over the same distance next time out. He has a far kinder draw of gate four. ORDELL is a 5yr old mare who won her last start over six furlongs by a neck. She battled all the way down to the wire that day and if showing the same amount of courage today, she should be involved in the finish here.

Race 7
JOYOUS GARD finished strongly to win by just under a length when making his debut over a mile. He would have learnt from that experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, he could complete his double here, starting from gate seven. KIPKETER has turned in two solid last effort, the latest when finishing sixth over 1300M, three lengths behind the winner. He was making good late progress that day, suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to his liking. He has a handy draw two and could be the immediate danger to the top choice. LOOK SHARPISH is a 4yr old filly taking on males. She finished second last time out over seven furlongs, despite hanging in over the closing stages of the race. She has a wide draw of eighteen to overcome, but with a bit of luck in running, she should give the boys a good run for their money.

Race 8
SLY SAMBA DEER won his last start over 1100M going away after hitting the front just 25M from the winning post. He jumps from a handy draw four and if he can confirm that last effort today, be looks to be the value in the race. QUIET LUCKY won his penultimate outing over 1100M and then finished second over the same trip next time out, just under a length back from the victor, despite hanging over the latter stages of the contest. He has a wideish draw of eight to deal with, but he could threaten the top pick. KISSEE MEE is an 8yr old mare taking on boys, but she was a jump to wire winner of her last start over six furlongs. She put nearly four lengths between herself and the opposition that day and should be just at home over this shorter trip. Her five draw will not cause her any harm.

Race 9
SIG POSITANO has finished close up in his last two outings since dropping down to sprinting from the ten furlongs of his prior run. He ended up n third place in his latest start over 1100m, just a length and a half behind the winner. He has to handle a wide draw of twelve, but on the plus side, he has his peak run today. DUKE OF MAGNUS has finished second in his last two outings over six furlongs, only a half length off the victor in his latest outing. He also has his peak run here and has a far kinder draw of gate three. He will have 2kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice and is sure to turn in another honest performance here. THUNDERBOLT TWO is seldom too far off the action and finished third last time out over 1100M on the synthetic surface. He is equally at home on the grass and should not be lightly dismissed.

Race 4
BUCHAREST hit the front at the 250M mark and then drew away to win by nearly a length on debut over 1500M. He has cracked pole position and could be good enough to complete his double here. LAND AHOY is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she too won on debut, putting 3.3L between herself and the balance of the field that day over 1300M. She returns from a 10 week rest, but did put in a fair barrier trial on the synthetic surface. She gets gate two and could be the biggest danger to the top choice. HIGHMASTE returns from a 22 week break, but has had two barrier trials, winning the first of them. He has his first run for his new trainer and if fully settled into his new surroundings, he should give a good account of himself in this line-up.

Race 5
With the eight late scratchings here, the way may have been cleared for VOLTERRA to chalk up his maiden victory. He returns from a 16 week rest and has had a barrier trial to prove his well-being. Although he finished fifth in his last start over six furlongs, he was just 1.8L behind the winner. He was staying on well that day, suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to his liking and jumping from his draw five, he is taken to be the best bet on today’s card. MORETHANNUMBERONE is drawn in gate three and has his first outing for his new trainer. He will also get 1.5kgs removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice to aid his cause. MILLIONDOLLARBILL finished second on debut over six furlongs, but did not show the expected improvement next time out over the same trip and was immediately rested for 18 weeks. He returns here having had two barrier trials and with the late scratchings, come into gate eight.

Race 6
CENTIMENTAL has shown steady improvement in her last three runs, finishing second in the latest over this c&d, just a length off the winner. She only found a clear run at the 250M mark that day and may have finished closer to the victor but for that. She jumps from gate two and could be the one to side with here. SALATEEN has posted two solid last efforts, the latest when second over 1300M, two lengths back from the winner. She has her peak run today and possesses the early gate speed to move over from her wide twelve draw without using up too much energy. PRINCESS BETTY is drawn one outside the latter. She had finished second over six furlongs in her two prior runs to ending up in third place last time out over five furlongs. She is a speedy sort who should also be able to move across as quickly after the start as she can.

Race 7
GAELIC has his first run since a 27 week break, but has had the benefit of three barrier trials. He won over six furlongs on debut and then finished fourth in his nest start over seven furlongs, 2.4L off the winner. He drops back to what could be a more suitable distance at this stage of his career and whilst having to negotiate a wide ten draw, he has the early speed to move across without expending too much energy. RICCARDO kept all challengers at bay to win his last outing over six furlongs by a neck. He is drawn one outside the top pick and should also attempt to race up there with the early pace. COCO CUBER followed up his penultimate run victory over 1100M with a third place finish over the same trip. He made good late progress that day and should be doing his best work late starting from his gate seven.

Race 4
HAVADUEL won his last start by nearly two lengths when stepping up to this distance from the nine furlongs of his previous outing. He quickened smartly that day and could be good enough to record a quick double here. Despite having to jump from gate eight, he is taken to be the value bet on today’s card. FIRST COURRIER won his last outing over a mile from jump to wire and is likely to attempt those tactics here. He steps up in distance, but this should not be an issue as he finished second in his penultimate run over the ten furlongs. FOX BEAT stayed on well when ending up in second place in his last start over ten furlongs. He has the widest of the draws out at gate eleven, but he should be doing his best work late.

Race 5
This looks to be a tricky race where finding the winner is no easy task. A 4yr old filly and two mares could fight out the finish though and complete the trifecta, with the tentative first choice going to EURO RHYTHMIC. She showed marked improvement when finishing fifth last time out over 930M at this track and if she can confirm that effort here, she should be right up there when they hit the line, starting from her handy draw two. ELEGANT ELLEN made good late progress when ending up in fourth place in her last outing over this c&d. She is drawn in gate four and should be involved in the finish today. NINES ENOUGH showed massive improvement in her last run over five furlongs and if she has continued down that same path, she could threaten the top two selections. She is drawn in gate ten, but she is a speedy sort who should be able to move across without using up too much energy. ROMEO VELLA has his first run after a 27 week break and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, so his fitness will have to be taken on trust. However, the form of his last start before the rest has been franked and if not too much in need of the run, he could spoil the girl’s party.

Race 6
As with the previous race, there are plenty of runners with chances to take top spot here and some caution is suggested. GLOBALIZE is seldom far off the action and finished fifth last time out over the mile. He drops in distance and returns after a 17 week rest and no barrier trial, but the shorter distance may well be what he is looking for after the break. LADY TYCOON is a 6yr old mare taking on the boys, but she has posted two solid last efforts, the latest when third over five furlongs at this track. She is drawn the widest of then all, but she should be picking off the frontrunners in the latter stages of the contest. SHIPIERRO is a 3yr old filly who won her maiden race in her last outing over five furlongs at this venue. She has not drawn too much better at gate fourteen, but she is likely to be dropped out of it early and come with a rattle over the latter stages of the contest. HEAVENLY THUNDER on the other hand has cracked pole position. She was forced to race wide in her last start before finishing sixth over the five furlongs. With better luck in running today, she should be right up there in the mix.

Race 7
A 7yr old and a 5yr old mare look like they could dominate the finish to this race and secure the exacta, but the firm top pick goes to SNOWBROOK who has pulled pole position. She won her last start over a mile by two lengths, but was eased down close to the wire and could have won by a far greater margin. From pole position, she is made the best bet on the day’s program. LIVEINTHEFASTLANE returns from a lengthy 40 week rest, but has had the one barrier trial to prove her fitness. She stayed on well when finishing fourth last time out over seven furlongs and despite having to negotiate a wide twelve draw, she could threaten the top selection. TRAPPER TOM showed marked improvement to win his last outing over seven furlongs by just over a length. He was friendless in the betting markets that day, but if he is able to confirm that effort here, he could make his presence felt in this line-up. His draw two will do him no harm.
