Race 5
SPEAKING BAD is a 7yr old mare taking on the boys, but she showed marked improvement when making good late progress to finish fourth last time out over eleven furlongs, just over a length behind the victor. A repeat of that effort would make her the one to side with here. NEPTUNE'S CHOICE held on well to win his last outing over nine furlongs. He steps up in distance here, but will have 2kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. SO YOU’RE MAGIC goes for his hat-trick after winning his last start over twelve furlongs and his penultimate run over this c&d. He likes to race up with the pace in his races and is sure to put his pole position to good use.

Race 6
OKANAGAN MISS is a 6yr old mare taking on males. She was a jump to wire winner of her last start over 1500M at this track. She showed plenty of determination in hold off all challengers that day and jumping from a handy gate two, she is taken to be the value bet on today’s card. ULTIMATE RING shifted around in the closing stages when ending up in sixth place last time out over six furlongs and should have finished closer to the winner as a result. With the two late scratchings, he now comes into gate six and could emerge as the biggest danger to the top choice. ADDOCARR showed good improvement to finish third last time out over 1710M at this venue. He was staying on well that day and from draw three, he should be included in all bets.

Race 7
A 4yr old filly and a 6yr old mare could fight out the finish to this race and complete the exacta. AMICHE has ultra-consistent formlines to her name and is yet to finish out of the top three places in all five of her runs to date. She missed out on her hat-trick last time out when finishing third over six furlongs, 0.9L behind the winner. She hit the front in that race, but just could not hold off the late challengers in the dash down to the wire. She starts from gate six and will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways today. NORTHERN RIVER returns from a 22 week rest, but did finish second in her only barrier trial to prove her well-being. She is drawn one inside the top pick and should be right up there when they hit the line. COUP has consistent form and did win his last outing over 1100M by some 1.3L. He is drawn the widest of them all at gate eleven, but he is a speedy sort who could move across without using up too much energy..

Race 8
The last leg of the Jackpot looks to be a tricky affair and some caution is suggested. The tentative top pick goes to VERSETTO with ex-SA jockey Robbie Fradd in the irons. He finished fourth last time out, just under a length off the winner when racing up with the pace. He could prove difficult to reel in over the closing stages of the contest. KOTA FLYER was only outrun very late before ending up in fourth place in his latest outing over seven furlongs and seems likely to enjoy the drop in distance. WOWSERS has cracked pole position and showed considerable improvement to win his last start over six furlongs by one length. He was returning from a 23 week break that day and if he is able to reproduce that effort here, he should be involved in the finish. ZOUVILLA was bumped at the start when disappointing last time out and that effort is best ignored. He did finish second in his penultimate start over six furlongs and although have a wide draw of fourteen to negotiate, he does have the early gate speed to move across without expending too much energy.

Race 4
FORBIDDEN LOVE returns from a 16 week rest, but put in an encouraging barrier trial to prove her well-being. She is seldom far off the winner and finished third last time out over 1100M, just under two lengths behind the winner. From a handy gate two, she could turn out to be the value bet on today’s card. BADIA had to be switched for a run when finishing fifth last time out over six furlongs and should have finished closer as a result. She is drawn one outside the top choice and could be her immediate danger. IN A WHILE followed up her penultimate run victory over six furlongs with a second place finish over the same trip next time out. She was only run out of it late that day and despite facing the widest draw of them all, she should be included in all bets

Race 5
GUNNAMATTA has only had the two runs to date, finishing second on debut over six furlongs and then winning his next start over 1100M by a head. He was hampered at the start that day, which makes the victory that much more encouraging. He does take on stronger here, but he might well be up to the task on hand, even with his wide ten draw. RAGGED RASCAL has consistent formlines to his name and was making good late progress when ending up in fourth place last time out over this c&d, a half length back from the winner. He has a far kinder draw of two and could threaten the former for top spot. KARAJA is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys. She finished fourth in her latest outing over five furlongs when returning from a 33 week break. If not in need of one more run, she should be involved in the finish today..

Race 6
ZAKAT has consistent form to his credit and finished strongly to only be denied victory by a neck last time out over 1100M. He was returning from a 14 week absence from the race track that day and although drawn at gate ten, he should be picking off the frontrunners in the dash down to the wire. SAUVESTRE has his first run since a 17 week break, but recorded a fair barrier trial to demonstrate his fitness. He won over six furlongs on debut before the rest and has a handy draw of gate three. He obviously has some ability and could prove to be a real threat to the top pick. FRONT MONEY is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she is seldom too far off the winner and stayed on well when finishing fourth in her latest outing over six furlongs. her draw six will do her no harm.

Race 7
DALMATIA PRINCE and TOCHI renew their rivalry here and a form reversal is on the cards. The former finished one and a half lengths behind the latter in their last clash over this c&d, but is a full 5kgs better off at today’s weights, thanks partially to his 3kg apprentice claim. This should be more than enough for the table to be turn today. In addition, the top pick is drawn in gate three, whereas the latter has to overcome gate twelve. MONSIEUR SISU was only outrun late before finishing second in his latest start over nine furlongs. He is drawn wideish in gate eight, but on the plus side, he will have 3kgs taken off his back courtesy of his claiming apprentice.

Race 1
Only six runners face the starter here and a 4yr old filly and a 6yr old mare could fight out the finish, but the clear top choice goes to ZAALAH, who has only had the two runs to date. She finished strongly to end up in fourth place last time out over 1300M, suggesting that the step up in distance will be to her liking. LOVE STRIKES has solid staying form to her name and finished fourth last time out over ten furlongs, just under a length adrift of the winner. She takes a fair drop in distance here, but may just do better as a result. TRADE MASTER on the other hand is stepping up in trip after finishing third in his last outing over seven furlongs at this venue. He looks good enough to complete the trifecta here.

Race 4
GIANT LEAP has consistent formlines to his name and just failed by a short-head to win his last start over 1700M at this track. He attracted plenty of betting support that day and will be looking to make amends here, despite having a wideish seven draw. BON ODYSSEY is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys and is drawn one inside the top pick. She made good late progress when posting her maiden victory last time out over 1300M and should give the males a good run for their money. HOTHAM VALLEY raced wide into the straight when disappointing last time out over 1700M. His form in his two runs over the seven furlongs prior to that last effort had bee solid and he now drops back to what seems to be a more suitable distance.

Race 5
UNCLE LINO has shown gradual improvement in his last three runs, finishing third in his latest start over ten furlongs. He like to race up with the leaders in his races and could prove difficult to overhaul in the latter stages of the contest. MR DELEGATOR was jump to wire winner of his last outing over a mile to record his maiden victory. He put 3.3L between himself and the opposition that day and whilst taking on stronger here, he should be involved in the finish, even though he has the widest draw of them all. DIPLOMAT EXPRESS followed up his penultimate victory over this c&d with a fourth place finish over the same c&d where he was making good late progress. He jumps from a handy two gate and should be included in all bets.

Race 6
EUROTRIP showed marked improvement to win his last start over six furlongs by a head. He has his peak run here and has cracked pole position. If he can reproduce that last effort, he could be the one to side with here. REACTION is seldom far off the winner and stayed on well when ending up in seventh place, 2.4L behind the winner last time out. He jumps from a wideish eight gate, but should turn in another honest performance today. NOBLE REFLECTION was disappointing in his last start over five furlongs and was immediately rested for 30 weeks. He returns here after finishing second in his only barrier trial and if he is able to recapture his previous form, he should be a factor in this line-up.

Race 7
A tricky F&M Handicap brings down the curtain to today’s proceedings and some caution is advised. LADIES OF LONDON won her penultimate start over five furlongs when returning from a 22 week break, then finished third in her last outing over 1100M, 1.3L back. She has gate seven and should be right up there when they hit the wire. BORN TO TRY stayed on when finishing fourth last time out over six furlongs when returning from a lengthy 39 week break. She jumps from gate two and should pose a threat to the top pick. SHOWZALI is a speedy sort who won from start to finish last time out over five furlongs at this race track. She has a wide draw of twelve to negotiate, but given her early gate speed she should be able to move across without using up too much energy. REGAL POYSE was a head winner of her last start over the c&d, despite being friendless in the betting markets. She is drawn one inside the latter and should not be lightly dismissed.
