Race 4.
ANAKIN SKYWALKER has only had the two runs to date and showed the expected improvement when making good late progress to finish fifth last time out over seven furlongs, 1.7L behind the winner. If he has continued down that same path, he could be the one to side with here, despite having to negotiate a wideish nine draw. ANOTHER SONETTE was hampered at the start before finishing well to end up in fourth place last time out over this c&d. He is drawn one outside the top choice but should be doing his best work late. AUSTINMER did not get the clearest of runs in the straight before finishing fourth in his last outing over 1500M. He is drawn the widest of them all in gate thirteen, but he will probably be dropped out of it early and then start picking off the frontrunners in the latter stages of the contest.

Race 5.
SAPPHIRES SON followed up his penultimate run victory over seven furlongs where he put over five lengths between himself and the opposition with a second place finish over this c&d. He was forced to race wide that day, but from gate three, he looks to be the value bet on today’s card. DUNDEE stayed on well in his last outing over the c&d and although recorded as finishing fifth, he was just 2.6L off the winner. He is drawn one inside the top pick and could be his immediate danger. FIVE STAR GAL is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys, but she showed marked improvement to finish second in her last run over a mile. She tried to go from jump to wire that day and with having 2kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming apprentice, she could prove difficult to reel in over the closing stages.

Race 6.
With the three late scratchings in the race, one of which looked like a big threat to the top choice, the way may have been cleared for ADIOS STEVE to record his third career victory. He goes for his hat-trick here after winning his latest start over six furlongs by three and a half lengths. He hit the front at the 300M mark and was eased down going to the wire. From a handy draw two, he may prove difficult to topple here. CHARLTON PARK is a 4yr old filly taking on males. She finished second over six furlongs last time out, only a neck back from the victor when returning from an 18 week rest. She steps up in trip here, but she did win her penultimate outing over seven furlongs, so this should not be an issue. SOUCHONG is a 5yr old mare who showed good improvement to win her last start over seven furlongs by two lengths. She returns from a 15 week break, but did put in an encouraging barrier trial to prove her fitness.

Race 7.
IRISH THUNDER returns from a 17 week absence, but he did win both of his barrier trials to showcase his well-being. He has only had the two runs to date, winning over five furlongs on debut and was then bumped entering the straight before recovering well to finish third next time out over the same trip. He jumps from gate seven and should be right up there when they hit the line. ICE IN VANCOUVER finished well to win on debut over five furlongs, 3.8L ahead of the balance of the field. On that effort, he should appreciate the extra ground on offer today. His draw four will do him no harm. CHASING COMETS has his peak outing here after finishing third last time out over six furlongs, but did win his penultimate start over the same distance by four lengths. He has to overcome a wide draw ten, but nevertheless should be involved in the finish.

Race 5.
A 3yr old and 4yr old filly look like they can fight out the finish to this race and complete the exacta. SAPEIRO jumped awkwardly and then overraced in the early stages, but still managed to win her maiden race last time out over 1100M by just over a length. That was only her second outing, so she clearly has some ability. From her handy gate four, she may well be good enough to chalk up a quick double here. CALMYOURFARM is drawn one outside the top choice and made good late progress to finish fourth last time out over six furlongs. She had finished second in her penultimate start over the same distance, just under a length off the winner. WILD CHOICE is a speedy sort who ended up in fourth place in his last outing over this c&d. He will be aided by having 2kgs removed from his back thanks to his claiming apprentice.

Race 6.
ABLESTOCK stayed on to finish fifth in his last start over twelve furlongs in heavy going. He has had two barrier trials since then and should be right up there when they hit the line, jumping from gate two. ALBENCA STREET jumped awkwardly before taking the lead and hanging on well to win his maiden race last time out over eleven furlongs. He was hanging in over the latter stages of the race which makes the victory that much more encouraging. He has pulled pole position and despite taking on stronger, he should be involved in the finish today. SUBLIME DIVA is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she too won her maiden race last time out over eleven furlongs. She hit the front at the 350M mark and kept going strongly to hold off all challengers. She has a wide drawn of eleven, but should use her early gate speed to move across without expending too much energy.

Race 7.
GOLD OLLIE has cracked pole position and has finished second in his last two outings, the latest over this c&d. He raced wide that day, but with better luck in running today, he will be hoping to go one better here and looks to be the one that they all have to beat. ZOUY’S COMET won his penultimate start over 2100M by nearly two lengths, but was then disappointing next time out over eleven furlongs. He gets to start from gate five and will have 2kgs removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice. If bouncing back to his best form, he could threaten the top pick. ON THE TILES takes a hike in distance after his last three outings over a mile. He did win his maiden race last time out and if equally effective over the extra journey, he should be respected in this line-up.

Race 8.
REAL THINKER followed up his penultimate run victory over a mile with a fifth-place finish over 1500M next time out. He finished well that day suggesting that the extra ground will be to his liking and from gate seven, he should be right up there in the firing line. DESERT DREAMER made good improvement to finish third in his latest start over 1300M, one and a half-length behind the victor. He is drawn very wideout at fifteen, but he is likely to use his early gate speed to get across without expending too much energy. HOCHADEL stayed on strongly to make marked improvement to finish second in his last outing over seven furlongs. He is drawn in gate ten, but should be involved in the finish here.

Race 5.
ROCK 'N' SOL is seldom far off the action and although fifth last time out over 1500M, he was just 1.3L behind the winner. He finished his race off well and from a handy draw three, he looks to be the one to side with here. OSMOND showed good improvement to win his last outing over six furlongs by half a length. He was friendless in the betting markets that day and is drawn wide at gate nine, but if he is able to reproduce that last effort, he could threaten the top choice. MORE GEE has a kinder draw six and won his latest start over this c&d by a half length. He will have 2kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice to aid his cause.

Race 6.
Two 4yr old fillies could fight out the finish to this race and secure the exacta. MARRON CHEVAL showed marked improvement to win her last start over six furlongs by 2.3L. She hit the front as they turned into the home straight and stayed on well to win comfortably. She gets to jump from draw two and a repeat of that effort would see her chalk up a quick double. GOLDIE’S ARCHER has her peak run today after turning in two solid recent performances, the latest when fourth over five furlongs. She is drawn in gate seven, but on the plus side, will have 2kgs removed from her allocated weight courtesy of her claiming apprentice. ACT OF BRAVERY gets the blinkers re-fitted after finishing seventh last time out over five furlongs, three lengths off the victor. If this move has the desired effect, he should be right up there when they greet the judge, despite a wide gate eleven.

Race 7.
DISTRICT has consistent formlines to his name and finished strongly to end up in second place last time out over five furlongs. He was only denied victory by a short-head that day. As he gets the services of a 2kg claiming apprentice and has a handy draw two, he is taken to be the best bet on today’s card. BRAD has his hat-trick attempt here after winning his last start over 1300M by a neck. He took over the lead at the 200M mark and fought off all challengers over the latter stages of the contest. He jumps from draw four and is sure to appreciate the drop in trip. SANTISIMO missed out on his hat-trick last time out when fourth over five furlongs, just over two lengths behind the winner. He was only collared in the final 50M and is sure to make his presence felt in this field.

Race 8.
EMILY'S SONG is a 6yr old mare taking on the boys, but she had her consistency rewarded with a victory last time out over the c&d. She drew clear in the closing stages to win by 1.3L and jumping from draw four, she could prove good enough to follow up today. SOLDIERS is seldom too far off the action and showed plenty of determination before only being outrun over the final 75m last time out over six furlongs. He has a wideish draw of gate eight, but should nonetheless still be involved in the finish today. QUIDNI has cracked pole position and was making good late progress when fourth last time out over this c&d. He should be included in all bets.
