Race 1: COSMIC RAY (11)
Race 3: FIRE FLOWER (3)
Race 6: MILL QUEEN (1)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 2: SEA WAYS (10)
Jockey: De Gouveia D  - Trainer: Pettigrew S

SEA WAYS has finished runner-up in both his starts thus far. He lost two lengths at the start last time, but the manner in which he ran on caught the eye. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The son of Ashaawes looks to be progressive and in this type of field, should shed his maiden tag.

Race 4: MISS KHALIFA (2)
Jockey: Kennedy W - Trainer: Spies C

MISS KHALIFA had excuses in her last start and that effort is best ignored. She produced three good runs prior to that outing. The 5yo mare has won once and finished third twice from five attempts over this distance. Warren Kennedy steps into the saddle and if putting her best foot forward, she should win this.

Race 5: BOLD RANSOM (1)
Jockey: Ferraris L - Trainer: Peter P

BOLD RANSOM'S last four starts have been very good. He showed good speed last time and drew clear well in the latter stages. The son of Bold Silvano is unbeaten from two starts over this distance and should keep that record intact.

Race 6: MILL QUEEN (1)
Jockey: Lerena G - Trainer: Nieuwenhuizen

MILL QUEEN ran a decent race in the Grade 1 Garden Province Stakes last time. She set the pace that day, but just did not quite go on with her effort. She is having her peak run this afternoon and should be cherry-ripe. Gavin Lerena steps back into the saddle and she can get back to winning ways.

Race 7: ASTRIX (4)
Jockey: Kennedy W - Trainer: Peter P

ASTRIX'S last three starts have been fair. The son of Vercingetorix returns from a 13-week break, which may have done him the world of good. He is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. It is encouraging that Warren Kennedy steps back into the saddle this afternoon and if not in need of the run, he may find himself in the winner's enclosure.
