Race 5
This looks to be a tricky race to kick off the Jackpot and some caution is advised. The tentative first choice goes to SEELIE QUEEN who is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has only had the two runs to date, finishing fifth on debut over five furlongs and then sixth next time out over six furlongs, four lengths behind the winner on both occasions. She was however trapped three-wide last time out and should have finished closer as a result. From her handy draw three, she may be the one to side with here. BELLA DAYS is a 4yr old filly who has improved in her last two outings and stayed on well when fifth in her latest start over five furlongs, almost three lengths back from the winner. On that effort, she should enjoy going over the extra ground. VOODOO CHILE showed marked improvement in his last run over five furlongs when returning from a 20-week absence. If he has continued down that same path, he should be respected in this line-up, despite being drawn in gate thirteen. ANNUAL is a 3yr old filly who made solid late progress when ending up third in her last start over five furlongs, 5.3L behind the winner. She has a kinder gate seven and should not be easily dismissed.

Race 6
ANOTHER ONE returns from a 21-week break and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, so his fitness will have to be taken on trust. He has however only had the two runs to date, finishing second on debut over six furlongs and then showing the expected improvement to win his next start over 1300M by nearly two lengths. He will have to negotiate draw nine, but seems to be above average and could complete his double here. TORSITON is a 4yr filly taking on males. She has made steady improvement in her last three outings, culminating with her maiden victory by nearly two lengths last time out over six furlongs. She is drawn one outside the top choice but should be right up there when they hit the wire. IRISH DANCER is a 3yr old filly who continues the draw trend by pulling the gate one outside the latter. She stayed on well when winning by a short-head first time out over five furlongs. She would have learnt from that experience and the form of that race has been franked, so she should be included in all bets.

Race 7
DELIVERED followed up his penultimate run victory over 1300m with a third-place finish over 1100M, 1.8L behind the winner. He battled all the way down to the wire that day and if showing the same determination today, from his gate four, he looks to be the value bet on the program. ZELAGO has shown gradual improvement in his last three runs, winning his latest by nearly a length, but going away from the balance of the field over the latter stages. He will have to overcome a wide draw eleven, but he is likely to be dropped out of the race in the early stages and should be picking off the frontrunners in the dash down to the wire. DEZZY has cracked pole position and stayed on nicely when ending up in second place last time out over 1300M, just under three lengths behind the winner.  He should not be overlooked here.

Race 8
STRAOVER has his first run since a 16-week rest and has not participated in a barrier trial. He does however attempt his hat-trick here after winning his last two starts over 1100M and 1300M respectively, the latest by 2.3L. He hit the font at the 200M mark that day and then raced away from the chasing pack. He has cracked pole position and may prove to be difficult to topple today. POLAR STAR is seldom far off the action and finished third in his last outing over five furlongs, just over a length and a half back from the victor. He jumps from gate six and looks to be the immediate threat to the top pick. NEWTOWN IS COMING is another with consistent form to his credit. He raced wide from the start and then was the widest of them all coming into the straight before finishing up in fourth place in his latest run over five furlongs, two lengths behind the winner. He faces a wide 11 out of 13 draws but should be involved in the finish.

Race 5
Two 5yr old mares may fight out the finish to this race and complete the exacta, but the firm top choice goes to DIRTY DIGBY who has shown steady improvement in her last three runs, finishing second in her latest over this trip, a short-head behind the winner. She attracted plenty of betting support that day and finished strongly to be narrowly denied victory. She jumps from gate seven and is taken to be the best bet on the day’s card. FIGHT FOR LOVE missed out on her hat-trick when finishing fifth in her latest outing over 1500M, beaten by just under two lengths. She was only run out it late and from draw three, she could emerge as the biggest danger to the top pick. HARDYO raced wide early in his last start over seven furlongs, but then stayed on well in the latter stages suggesting that the extra ground on offer today will be to his liking. He will have to negotiate a wide draw 13, but he should be involved in the finish.

Race 6
RIGHTHERE RIGHTNOW followed up her penultimate run victory over seven furlongs with a fifth-place finish over the same trip and was then immediately moved to a new stable. She has her first outing for her new conditioner here and if fully settled into her new surroundings, she could be the one to side with. ASTROBABY also won her penultimate start, but in her case, over five furlongs and then ended up in eighth spot next time out over 1100M. She tried to go from jump to wire that day and steps up in distance here, but she may well be looking for this greater test of stamina. KIWICOD disappointed last time out when finishing tenth over 1100M, 5.3L behind the winner, but a repeat of his penultimate effort when second over 1500M would makes him a big runner in this line-up.

Race 7
THOUSAND ISLAND has posted two solid recent efforts, winning his penultimate start over seven furlongs and then finishing second next time out over the same c&d, one length back from the winner. He was only collared in the last 50M and seem sure to appreciate the drop in distance. He is drawn nine out of eleven, but nevertheless should be right up there when they hit the line. FLASHING BOY showed good improvement to win his last outing over 1300M, putting three lengths between himself and the balance of the field. On that effort, he could prove good enough to complete his double today. PLAYTHEFIELD is seldom far off the action and was closing quickly when finishing a neck back last time out over seven furlongs. He will have to overcome a wide draw 10, but should be doing his best work late.

Race 8
BIG SURPRISE goes for his hat-trick after winning his last start over 1100M by two and a half lengths, but he did win his penultimate outing over this trip, so should have no issue with the step up in distance. He jumps from gate five and must be a big runner here. HE'S OUR TOY BOY won his penultimate run over 1300M by three and a half lengths and then finished third in his next start over seven furlongs, 1.8L back from the victor, despite racing three-wide in the early stages. He has a handy draw two and should threaten the former. ARISTOGRATS has consistent formlines to his credit and although fifth in his latest start over seven furlongs, he was just under a length behind the winner, after staying on well in the closing stages. He has to deal with draw nine, but he has his peak run today and should be included in all bets.
