Race 6
This looks to be a tricky start to the Jackpot, but there may be a bit of value in PERFECT IMPRESSION who is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys. She showed good improvement when running on strongly after jumping awkwardly and being bumped at the start to win her maiden race by a short head last time out over six furlongs. She was returning from a 24-week break that day, but on that effort, she should enjoy going the extra ground on offer here. She jumps from a mid-field gate eight and should give the males a good run for their money. KARAYER has shown steady improvement in his last three starts, winning his maiden contest last time out over this c&d, despite having to be held up at the 200M mark. He has cracked pole position and could emerge as the biggest danger to the top choice. CUBIC ZIRCONIA was beaten a short-head last time out over the c&d, but he was forced to race wide that day and was only run out of it late. He will have to deal with a wide fourteen draw, but on the plus side, will have ex-SA jockey Robbie Fradd in the irons, so he will get all the necessary assistance from the saddle. SEE MARIE is a 3yr old filly who returns from an 18-week break but did finish second in her only barrier trial to prove her well-being. She is drawn one outside the latter, but is seldom too far off the action and should turn in another honest performance today.

Race 7
ALL TO DO had finished second in his last three outings before ending up in third place last time out over six furlongs, just a neck behind the winner. He tried to go from jump to wire that day and from pole position, he could prove difficult to reel in over this short journey. As such, he is taken to be the best bet on the day’s program. CORDONED showed solid improvement in his last outing when finishing third over this c&d, just over half a length behind the victor. He was making good late progress in that race, despite shifting about in the closing stages. From his handy gate two, he looks to be the immediate danger to the top pick. THE LAUNCHER followed up his penultimate run victory over 1100M with a seventh-place finish over this c&d, just under three lengths off the winner. The gelding jumped awkwardly and was bumped down at the start that day. He should be involved in the finish here.

Race 8
CLEVER MISS has improved in each of her last three runs, finishing second over the c&d, just a head back from the winner when returning from a 16-week rest. She is a speedy sort who should put her handy draw two to good use. SHE'S CROWNED missed out on her hat-trick in her last outing over 1100M when 3.3L behind the winner. She did however jump awkwardly on that occasion and the form of that race has been franked. She is drawn one outside the former to boost her chances in this line-up. BUCKETS OF PRIDE disappointed when stepping up to six furlongs last time out, finishing nearly five lengths back from the winner. She has her peak run here after returning from a 28-week absence, but she jumps from gate five and the drop in trip is sure to be to her liking.

Race 9
WELL WELL WELL is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she has finished second in her last two outings, the first over seven furlongs and the next over a mile when just under two lengths behind the winner. She was making good late progress in that contest and on that performance, she should have little problem going the extra ground. She has pulled pole position and will have the services of Robbie Fradd. ROCAROYALE showed marked improvement when ending up fourth last time out, but just over one length behind the winner, this despite being buffeted at the start. He gets cheekpieces fitted for the first time and if these have the desired effect, he could be a threat to the former. There are only seven runners in the race, but he is drawn the widest of them all. ARJAYAR was denied a run at the 150M mark and did well to finish sixth last time out over a mile, 3.4L behind the winner. On his previous form and with better luck in running today from his draw four, he should be right up there when they hit the line.
