Race 6.
ROCHA CLOCK stayed on well when finishing sixth in her last start over a mile, but that was in a Group 3 race and the form of that contest has been franked. She drops in class here and has her peak outing today after returning from a 17 week rest. She will have to negotiate draw seven, but is taken to be the value bet on the day’s card. STROME has shown steady improvement in her last three runs culminating with a victory last time out over seven furlongs. She finished strongly that day suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to her liking. She is drawn one outside the top choice and could emerge as her biggest danger. I AM ELOQUENT made good late progress when ending up in second place last time out over this trip, just under a length behind the winner. She has a handy draw two and should be right up there in the mix.

Race 7.
This looks an extremely open affair and some caution is advised. EASY BEAST is seldom far off the action and stayed on well when finishing fourth in his latest outing over seven furlongs, just over a length off the winner. He jumps from gate nine and could be the one to side with here. BLINDER is looking to complete his hat-track after winning his last start over seven furlongs by a head. He hit the front at the 150M mark and then held off all challengers in the dash down to the wire. He will have to overcome a wide eighteen draw, but is likely to be dropped out of it early and should start picking off the frontrunners over the closing stages. MERCHANT OF VENICE finished seventh in his last outing over seven furlongs, but he gets a set of blinkers fitted for the first time and if these have the desired effect, he should make his presence felt. PRES DE TOI is a 6yr old mare taking on the boys, but she has cracked pole position. She followed up her penultimate run victory over this distance with a fourth place finish next time out when dropping down to seven furlongs. She reverts to the mile and could do better as a result.
Race 8.
MONTEFILIA goes for her hat-trick of Group I races after winning her penultimate start over a mile and then handing out a beating to males next time out over ten furlongs. She steps up in distance here, but the manner in which she finishes her races off would suggest that this should be well within her grasp. She is trained by ex-SA jockey/trainer David Payne and from draw five, she may prove to be difficult to topple. PERSONAL finished second in her last start in a Group 2 event over ten furlongs, just a neck back from the winner. She was only collared in the shadow of the post that day and if taking to the extra ground on offer here, she could threaten the top pick, despite having to deal with a wide gate ten. BIARCHI is another who attempts her trio of wins and also steps up in trip after winning her last two runs over nine furlongs. She takes a big leap up in class, but has pole position and could be involved in the finish.

Race 9.
WRITTEN BEAUTY is looking for her quartet of wins after completing her hat-trick last time out over five furlongs by three and a half lengths, this despite overracing in the middle stages. She has her peak run here after returning from a 17 week absence and possesses plenty of gate speed, which should allow her to move across without using up too much energy. CELESTINE on the other hand missed out on her fourth victory in a row when jumping awkwardly before finishing second last time out over six furlongs, two lengths behind the winner. She has only had the four runs to date, winning three and finishing second in the other and although drawn wideish in gate nine, she will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways today. MINHAAJ has consistent formlines to her name and finished third in her latest race over six furlongs, just a half length off the victor. She has a wide draw thirteen, but has the blinkers fitted for the first time and if this move has the desired effect, she should be included in all bets.
