Neil Morrice: UK Best Bets - Monday 23 November 2020

Neil Morrice:

Neil Morrice brings us all of his best bets and tips for Monday's racing coming your way from Kempton Park, Ludlow and Musselburgh.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 3 No1 INDEFATIGABLE (Nap)
Trainer: Paul Webber - Jockey: Rex Dingle

Cheltenham Festival winner INDEFATIGABLE makes abundant appeal in this mares’ Listed prize, having been sharpened up by a run in an equivalent contest on the Flat at Lingfield. Under today’s Jockey she pulled off a dramatic victory in the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle, and though unable to take up an engagement at Royal Ascot she’s been in great form since Lingfield.

Race 4 No1 TEMPLEPARK
Trainer: Fergal O’Brien - Jockey: Max Kendrick

The super consistent TEMPLEPARK should make a good fist of successfully shouldering top weight in this handicap chase. A busy campaign since July doesn’t appear to have taken the edge off the gelding who already boasts three successes over hurdles and fences this season.

LUDLOW

Race 1 No9 LONG STAY
Trainer: Fergal O’Brien - Jockey: Paddy Brennan

Bumper winner LONG STAY created a good impression on hurdles debut at Musselburgh when chasing home Bareback Jack. That was a first outing since undergoing wind surgery, and helps give him to ammunition to take out this maiden hurdle.

Race 4 No1 ROBINSHILL

Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies - Jockey: Jordan Nailor

ROBINSHILL seeks a fourth chasing success here, and has every chance of completing a fine hat-trick. He’s built up a good understanding with his conditional rider whose 5lb claim can prove a big assist in him defying top weight.

Race 6 No3 HOUSE ISLAND (Nap)

Trainer: Paul Webber - Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

HOUSE ISLAND ran well to a point on chase debut at Newbury where his jumping wasn’t as good as it had been on the schooling ground at Cropredy Lawn. The Casamento gelding scored here over hurdles exactly a year ago but has always promised to be a far better chaser. His second to Kalooki earlier in the month is there to be improved on as he’s better than he showed.

MUSSELBURGH

Race 3 No2 SIDI ISMAEL (Nap)

Trainer: Keith Dalgleish - Jockey: Billy Garrity

SIDI ISMAEL has looked a better horse since returning from a wind operation, with two near misses at Wetherby and Sedgefield. He’s starting to live up to the promise shown in his early career, and while harboured with his fair share of weight has a competent conditional taking 3lb off his back.

Race 5 No1 JE SUIS CHARLIE (Each Way)

Trainer: John Quinn - Jockey: Mr A Anderson

Following a readying run on the Flat, JE SUIS CHARLIE could show up at a chunky price in this handicap hurdle. The six-year-old was having a first outing for almost two years, and though being beaten over a distance should be a lot fitter for this return to jumps.
