La Rochelle v Montpellier
Sunday 27 November
Stade Marcel Dlefrandre
15:00

To Win Match
La Rochelle 1/7
Draw 25/1
Montpellier 9/2

First up we've got a clash between high-flying La Rochelle and a struggling Montpellier outfit. The hosts currently sit at the top of the league ladder having won eight of their 11 fixtures, while Montpellier are in 12th place with only three wins from the eight games they have played.

Prior to the Challenge and Champions Cup break, Montpellier registered a massive shock 15-21 away win over Clermont, while La Rochelle went down 22-18 to Lyon.

Verdict: La Rochelle 1/7
While Montpellier did get a big away win last time out, I cannot see them repeating the dose here. My money is on the hosts taking this one by more than 10 points.

Brive v Lyon
Sunday 27 December
Stade Amedee-Domenech
17:00

To Win Match
Brive 18/10
Draw 18/1
Lyon 9/20

We head over to Brive for our next fixture which will see Lyon come to town. The hosts currently reside in 10th place on the standings and have won four of their 11 fixtures. The visitors have had a better time of it this term and reside in fifth place with six wins and a draw from their 11 games.

As noted in the La Rochelle v Montpellier segment, Lyon head into this one off the back of a domestic win having beaten La Rochelle by 4 points prior to the European break. Brive also impressed in their last outing as they registered a 24-25 win over Castres in a midweek catch up game.

Verdict: Lyon 9/20
I think Brive will be a bit stretched here having played a midweek fixture. As such, I'm leaning towards the away team for the win.

Castres v Bayonne
Sunday 27 November
Stade Pierre-Fabre
17:00

To Win Match
Castres 9/20
Draw 20/1
Bayonne 18/10

Castres will be looking to arrest a poor run of domestic form which has seen them lose their last three fixtures since drawing 16-16 with big guns Toulouse when they welcome ninth-place Bayonne to the Stade Pierre Fabre this Sunday.

The hosts have only registered three wins and a draw from the ten games they have played this season while Bayonne have managed to win five of their 11. In terms of their most recent domestic results, Castres went down by a point to Brive this past Wednesday while Bayonne lost by four points to Toulouse in the first week of December.

Verdict: Bayonne 18/10
I have a sneaky feeling we'll see the away side cause an upset here. At 18/10, I'll be having a moderate strike on Bayonne.

Pau v Stade Francais
Sunday 27 November
Stade du Hameau
17:00

To Win Match
Pau 11/10
Draw 18/1
Stade 7/10

Stade Francais will be looking to move deeper into the top 6 when they take on a Pau side that currently lie 11th on the standings. The hosts have managed just three wins and a draw from the 11 games they have played this term while Stade have six wins from their 10 fixtures.

Pau have struggled domestically of late losing their last six Top 14 fixtures with their most recent defeat being a 13-17 home loss to Castres. Stade, on the other hand, have some handy domestic form and have won three of their last four games with their most recent win being a 24-23 victory over Toulon.

Verdict: Stade 7/10
Stade have been in great touch over the past two months and I can see their solid run of form continuing here.

Racing 92 v Agen
Sunday 27 December
Paris La Defense Arena
17:00

To Win Match
Racing 1/100
Draw 40/1
Agen 11/1

We've got a David versus Goliath clash next up with third-placed Racing Metro playing host to last-placed Agen. The visitors are yet to win a game this term and have a record of zero wins from 11 games. Racing have fared far better winning seven of their 10 fixtures.

In terms of their most recent domestic results, Agen went down 6-15 to Brive at home, while Racing beat the Bordeaux Begles 12-17 away from home.

Verdict: Racing 1/100
I feel Agen are in for a tough old night. My money is in Racing taking this one by more than 30 points.

Toulouse v Bordeaux Begles
Sunday 27 December
Stade Ernest Wallon
19:00

To Win Match
Toulouse 1/10
Draw 28/1
Bordeaux 11/2

Cheslin Kolbe's Toulouse will take on the Bordeaux Begles in the penultimate game of the round. The hosts currently sit second on the standings and are only two points off table toppers, La Rochelle. They have won seven and draw one of their 11 fixtures with their most recent result being a hard-fought 20-24 win over Bayonne.

Bordeaux are nine points adrift of their opponents and sit in eighth on the standings. They have managed five wins from their ten games with their most recent result being a 12-17 defeat to Racing Metro.

Verdict: Toulouse 1/10
I cannot foresee Toulouse having any issues taking the win here.

Toulon v Clermont
Sunday 27 November
Stade Felix Mayol
22:00

To Win Match
Toulon 2/9
Draw 23/1
Clermont 33/10

The Round 12 action will come to a close with a clash between Toulon and Clermont. The hosts currently lie in seventh place on the standings and have won six of the 10 games they have played thus far. Clermont are level on log points with their opponents but their superior points differential sees them residing in fourth place on the Top 14 ladder.

Both teams head into this one off the back of disappointing domestic defeats with Clermont going down 15-21 to Montpellier at the start of December while Toulon went down 24-23 to Stade Francais.

Verdict: Clermont 33/10
I just think there's far too much value to pass up on backing Clermont. This game is likely to be a close-run affair and I think it's a bit of a coin toss as to who wins it. While my stake won't be big, I will be having a flutter on the away win.
