Neil Morrice: International Racing - Thursday 3 December 2020

Neil Morrice brings us all of his best bets and tips from Thursday's racing taking place at
Leicester, Market Rasen, Wincanton, and Chelmsford City.

Race 2 No1 ONE TRUE KING (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies - Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

ONE TRUE KING carries a penalty in this novices’ hurdle but should be good enough to resist the potent threat of Mr Grey Sky. Since being switched to hurdles he’s gained a tidy success at Uttoxeter and placed at Stratford and back-to-back handicaps at Cheltenham. He was denied by Lively Citizen in a driving finish last time and should appreciate this drop-in class.

Trainer: Sue Gardner - Jockey: Lucy Gardner

There was plenty of support for TRANS EXPRESS at Exeter earlier in the month when the well-treated front runner made a bold fist of leading throughout, only to get caught by Mystic Dreamer. He returns to the fray of the same tempting mark and can prove hard to catch.

Trainer: Mark Usher - Jockey: James Davies

DYLAN’S SEA SONG got the better of Infiniti in a similar contest at Southwell after proving strong on the market. The runner-up enjoys a pull in the weights that should make it more interesting, but the mare looked to have more up her sleeve than the margin of victory indicates.

Race 2 No7 ONLY THE BOLD (Nap)
Trainer: Evan Williams - Jockey: Brian Hughes

Irish point-to-point winner ONLY THE BOLD attracted plenty of support only to find Grand Mogul too strong on debut over hurdles at Chepstow. It was nevertheless a Sterling effort by the son of Jeremy who is strongly fancied to outpoint Malinello in this novices’ hurdle.

Race 6 No11 JONJOELA
Trainer: Alex Hales - Jockey: Harry Bannister

JONJOELA a looks well weighted to continue the good form she’s produced since joining her trainer in the autumn. She delivered in snug fashion first time at Plumpton before going close to a follow-up at Fakenham. She’s getting plenty of weight from some of her market rivals and can regain the winning thread.

Race 4 No7 FORGOT TO ASK (Each Way)
Trainer: Tom George - Jockey: Jonathan Burke

FORGOT TO ASK has been competitive in both starts this season, making the frame at this course and Ludlow. He’s a strong stayer that should again be in the thick of it at the business end of an admittedly tricky- looking heat.

Race 7 No1 I LIKE TO MOVE IT (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies - Jockey: Jordan Nailor

I LIKE TO MOVE IT was easy to back but landed the spoils in the manner of a red hot favourite on debut at Aintree, for which he carries a 7lb penalty. A 9-1 shot that day, he bounded clear of his foes when given the office, and can remain unbeaten on the way to better things.

Race 2 No8 BLAIRLOGIE (Each Way)
Trainer: Laura Morgan - Jockey: Luke Morris

BLAIRLOGIE has more than one given the impression that he’s not quite giving it 100 percent at the finish of his races, hence no surprise that his trainer now equips him with cheekpieces. He’s shown more than is obviously evident on his four-start for his trainer, and if reacting positively to the headgear can get into the shake-up.

Race 4 No2 BRUNEL’S BOY (Nap)
Trainer: Mick Channon - Jockey: Silvestre De Sousa

BRUNEL’S BOY can play the experience card to good effect on this return to novice company. He reacted well to a first-time visor to place at Lingfield last time, and this is easier.
