Race 1

BUSTEDUP has only had the four runs to date, but goes for his hat-trick here after winning his last two outings over 1100M, the latest by nearly seven lengths and the form of that race has been franked. He steps up slightly in trip, but has his peak run after returning from a 35 week rest. There are just five runners in the race and he has the outside draw, but he looks hard to topple here and is taken to be the best bet on today’s card. GEORGIE'S PRIDE showed marked improvement in his latest start when winning his last start over six furlongs by a length. He was friendless in the betting markets that day, but if he is able to reproduce that effort here, he could complete the exacta. Although EXPERT EYE is recorded as finishing sixth in his last outing over 1300M, he was just over two and a half lengths back from the winner. He tried to go from jump to wire that day and was only run out of it late. He returns from a short 10 week absence and should enjoy the drop in distance.

Race 5

BROOK HILL had finished second in his last two runs over 1600M and 1700M prior to finishing fourth last time out over a mile, 3.2L behind the winner. He finished strongly in that contest and jumping from gate three, he should be right up there when they hit the line. FAIRY ME HOME stayed on well before ending up in fourth place in his latest outing over a mile, just over three lengths adrift of the victor when returning from a 20 week break. He had won over this distance three runs back and whist drawn the worst of them all in gate eight, he should not be lightly dismissed in this line-up. DAULAT TAI PANAZIZ is draw one inside the latter and finished fifth last time out over this mile journey, just over three lengths behind the winner. He gets a set of blinkers fitted for the first time and if these have the desired effect, he should be included in all bets.

Race 6

ZOUNATE has finished closer top the winner in his last three runs and was just beaten a short-head last time out over seven furlongs. he has cracked pole position and will have his first start for his new trainer. If fully settled into his new surroundings, he could be the one to side with here. TRUST IN ALOHA is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys. She on the other hand will have to negotiate a wide gate ten, but she is seldom far off the action and finished second in her last start over 1300M, just under a length back from the winner. He attracted plenty of betting support that day and will be looking to make amends here. EVITA LA VIE is a 4yr old filly who has an even wider gate thirteen, but she has shown solid improvement in her last two runs, the latest when a head second over seven furlongs, this despite being bumped in the latter stages of the race. She is not without a chance here.

Race 7

Today’s value bet, GDANSK had his consistency rewarded with his maiden win last time out over six furlongs. He hit the front at the 150M mark and then fought off all challengers over the closing stages. The form of that race has stood up well and he will retain the services of ex-SA jockey Robbie Fradd. He jumps from gate five and will be looking to complete a quick double. WAR TOY is drawn one inside the top choice and won by two lengths when making his debut over 1300M, after having had five barrier trials. He steps up in trip and takes on stronger here, but the form of that race has been franked and he should be right up there in the firing line. KOZLUCA has also only had the one outing, being victorious over this c&d by a head after having had six barrier trials. That experience will stand him in good stead and he gets blinkers fitted for today’s run.

Race 8

SIDEKISS had finished a neck second in his penultimate start over this trip before winning by almost two lengths next time out over 1300M. Once he had taken the lead at the 150M pole, he strode away from the balance of the field to post a comfortable victory. He jumps from a handy gate two and could be the one to side with here. RAGING POLE jumped awkwardly before recovering well to end up in second place last time out over 1300M, just two lengths back from the winner. He has pulled gate five, and should keep the top pick honest. AHSMAN has cracked pole position and although recorded as finishing seventh in his last outing over seven furlongs, he was just under four lengths behind the winner, notwithstanding the fact that he had to be steadied going through the 1000M mark. With better luck in running today, he should be involved in the finish.
