Race 6: PUREST BLISS (3)
Race 7: EARTH HOUR (1)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Jockey: V.Rensburg M - Trainer: Smith G

GLOBAL DRUMMER showed good speed in the Non-Black Type Fairview Merchants last time, but was outrun in the latter stages. The son of Global View is unbeaten from two starts over this distance. He is likely to have his own way in front today and if this run has not come too soon, he may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.

Race 5: GIN FIZZ (2)
Jockey: Ndlovu X - Trainer: G Smith

was ultra-impressive when winning her last start over 1000m on the polytrack. She showed good speed that day and won a lot easier than the official margin suggests. She finished second in her only attempt over this distance. The daughter of Soft Falling Rain is classy and should notch up her fifth career victory.

Race 6: AFRICA'S GOLD (2)
Jockey: Gould T - Trainer: Greeff A

AFRICA'S GOLD has good recent form lines to his credit. He set the pace last time, but was outrun in the latter stages by ONESIE. The son of Judpot is a better horse on the grass having won twice from three starts on this course. Teaque Gould has had success aboard the 6yo gelding in the past and the combination should find themselves in the winner's enclosure.

Race 7: EARTH HOUR (1)
Jockey: Mxothwa L - Trainer: Nel J

EARTH HOUR is one of the better bets on today's card. He challenged strongly in the Non-Black Type Memorial Mile last time, but found one too good in the form of Marmara Sea. He has won five times, finished second seven times and third six times from 27 attempts over this distance. He will love the return to the grass and should take a power of beating.

Race 8: TAKE THE WORLD (2)
Jockey: Steyn K - Trainer: Strydom J

TAKE THE WORLD showed good improvement in his local debut on this course over the minimum trip. The manner in which he finished off his race that day caught the eye. The son of Pomodoro will enjoy the rise to the mile and should strip a much fitter horse. From his mid-field barrier position, he can improve to win this contest.
