Neil Morrice Best Bets & Tips

Neil Morrice brings us all of his best bets and tips for Wednesday's racing coming your way from Kempton Park and Wolverhampton.

Race 1: No1 - BLAIRLOGIE (Each Way)
Trainer: Laura Morgan - Jockey: Luke Morris

While yet to show, he’s entirely at home on sand, BLAIRLOGIE has twice troubled the judge at Chelmsford, latterly finish fourth to Bad Attitude when equipped with first-time cheekpieces. The gelding is well drawn to get a good stalking position behind the leaders and can again earn.

Race 5: No2 - GREAT ESTEEM
Trainer: Archie Watson - Jockey: Hollie Doyle

Godolphin cast-off GREAT ESTEEM can make an immediate mark for his new connections in an interesting maiden. The Dubawi gelding has a pedigree that lends itself to sand as he showed when second on his Wolverhampton introduction. That was 15 months ago, and while he was turned over when odds-on at Leicester he showed plenty of ability against the smart Look Closely. He faces strong competition from the fillies Tampere and Tex Australia but is fit enough to put his bes5 foot forward.

Race 7: No5 - STREAMLINE
Trainer: Clive Cox - Jockey: Adam Kirby

Like Great Esteem, STREAMLINE has to cope with a return from a 15 month enforced absence. In his juvenile season, the hooded colt proved very smart with successes at Bath and twice here, his only defeat happening in a Listed race at York won by Alligator Alley. To some extent, his chance of defying the break will be dictated by the betting, and a market check is strongly advised.

Race 3: No3 - DECONSO (Each Way)
Trainer: Chris Kellett - Jockey: Liam Keniry

DECONSO can take home a cheque in this spring handicap if able to gain a slot with cover behind the leaders. He’s signalled with consecutive frame finishes that he’s ready to end a 16-month sojourn since his last win over seven furlongs here.

Trainer: Richard Fahey - Jockey: Connor Murtagh

TORONADO QUEEN has shown a liking for Dunstall Park on all three visits, winning once and finishing in the money the other two times she’s faced the Tapeta surface. If running up to that level she is going to prove hard to beat.

Race 7: No8 - BEAUTY STONE
Trainer: Tom Ward - Jockey: Jack Mitchell

BEAUTY STONE ended 2020 with earning runs in each of her final four outings, reacting positively to the addition of a visor to score over this course as well as finishing runner-up in a similar race when last seen a year ago. The Australia filly should be seen in an even better light now stepped up from a mile and a half to a mile and threequarters.
