Neil Morrice Best Bets

Neil Morrice brings you all of his best bets and tips for Tuesday's racing coming your way from Kempton Park and Southwell.

Race 3 No:12 KENTUCKY HARDBOOT (Each Way)
Trainer: Mohammed Moubarak - Jockey: Jack Quinlan

KENTUCKY HARDBOOT took some decent hurdling form 8ntonthe jumper-bumper arena and duly ran a cracker when getting pipped in the final stride by Atomic Jack at Lingfield. As a four-year-old, he gets weight for age from all but one of his rivals and can again prove competitive against strong opposition from Castel Gandolfo and Hooper.

Race 4 No:12 TIMBERMAN (Nap)
Trainer: Fergal O’Brien - Jockey: Paddy Brennan

On first run for this stable TIMBERMAN put in an earning effort at Lingfield that’s there to be improved upon. His owner enjoyed a big winner at Leopardstown over the weekend and can now see his recruit step up to deny multiple hurdles winner Flic Ou Voyou.

Trainer: Nicky Henderson - Jockey: Nico de Boinville

The Henderson horses have been worryingly in and out of late, but this smaller field will possibly play to the strengths of former Irish-trained MENGLI KHAN. He was turned over by Black Kalanisi in a similar contest at Lingfield last week but that was a step up from his first outing for his Seven Barrows trainer, and he might have too much-finishing speed for likely pacesetter On The Slopes.

Race 7 No:5 COMMANCHE RED (Each Way)
Trainer: Chris Gordon - Jockey: Tom Cannon

A switch to a race without obstacles could be just the ticket for COMMANCHE RED who seems to have lost his way this season. The chestnut has landed a bumper as well as a valuable novices’ handicap chase at this course but was never going when pulled up here at the Christmas meeting. His trainer has given him a freshening break that can be rewarded with an earning run in what is in effect a handicap chase without the fences.

Jockeys Ride Horses

Trainer: Jamie Osborne - Jockey: Callum Shepherd

If NICKS NOT WONDER enjoys the Fibresand surface as much as he does Polytrack he will give these rivals short shrift. He was a 28-1 roughie when taking out a Class 5 at Kempton last month, and with the same jockey on board and improvement likely is going to be hard to beat running off his new mark.

Trainer: Stef Keniry - Jockey: Charlie Bennett

came good at this time last year and indicated with a return to form over course and distance last week that an action replay is in the offing. The Helmet gelding chased home the bang-in-form Daafr that should have teed him up nicely to go be better.
