Race 6.
EMANATE has won four out of her last five starts, including her last outing over 1100M by nearly four lengths. She jumped awkwardly that day, but recovered well to hit the front at the 150M mark and go on strongly to record a comfortable victory. She has pulled a handy gate four and is taken to be the best bet on the day’s card. FIESTA returns from a 16 week rest, but has had the benefit of two barrier trials, finishing second in the latest. She missed out on her hat-trick when finishing seventh in her last start over 1300M, 4.8L behind the winner, but she had to be held up between the 350M and 250M mark and then checked at the 200M, so that run is best ignored. She jumps from a wideish draw eight, but will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways today. STOLEN JADE is drawn one inside the latter and also missed out on her trio of wins last time out when ending up in twelfth spot, just over three and a half lengths back from the winner over 1300M. She was however hampered at the 700M pole that day and should have finished closer to the winner than she eventually did. She should be involved in the finish here.

Race 7.
The New Zealander gelding AEGON is unbeaten in five starts to date, four of which were in his home country, but he was impressive when winning his first Australian start.in a Group Two event over seven furlongs, by almost two lengths. He was crowded shortly after the start that day, but bust clear of the field at the 120M mark to be eased down at the line. He will have to negotiate gate eight, but he may prove difficult to topple once again. NORTH PACIFIC is seldom far off the action, but finished 1.8L behind the top choice in the race referred to above and as the pair meet on the same weight terms here, he may well have to settle for the same result. He was however staying on well in that last start and should appreciate the extra ground on offer here. He is drawn in a better gate four and could emerge as the biggest threat to the top pick. PELTZER also comes out of the same formline as the top two selections and finish fourth that day, 2.8L adrift of the winner. He did miss out on his hat-trick in that outing, but he too faces the top choice on the same weight terms and is stuck out the widest of them all in gate thirteen, which won’t make his task easy. Nevertheless, he could complete the trifecta.

Race 8.
BIVOUAC is a three-time Group I winner who was a tad disappointing when finishing fifth last time out over five furlongs, just over two and a half lengths behind the winner. He was immediately rested for 17 weeks and returns here having had two barrier trials, finishing second in the latest. He has gate eight and will be looking to get back into the winner box today. SAVATIANO is a 6yr old mare taking on the boys, but she goes for her hat-trick here after victories in two Group Two races, the first over seven furlongs and then the latest over a mile by two lengths. She turned as the leader into the straight that day and then held off all the late challengers over the closing stages of the contest. She has a cozy gate three and should give the males a good run for their money. MASKED CRUSADER is drawn one inside the latter and showed good improvement to win a Group Three event last time out over six furlongs by two lengths. He was returning from a 20 week absence that day and should not be easily overlooked in this line-up.

Race 9.
Today’s value bet, NIMALEE had her consistency rewarded with an almost two length win last time out over seven furlongs when returning from a 16 week break. She struck the front at the 300M pole that day and was not sighted from that point. She faces gate seven, but should turn in another honest performance today. ARCHANNA won her penultimate start over 1900M and then finished sixth next time out over 1300m, just over four lengths adrift of the winner. She did however over race in the middle stages of that race and also returned having spread a plate. She has to overcome a wide draw sixteen, but she should be doing her best work late. SHE'S IDEEL has been there and there abouts in her last three runs, the latest when third over 1300M, 1.8L behind the victor. She finished strongly that day after only seeing daylight at the 150M mark. She is drawn in gate ten, but with a bit of luck in running, she should be right up there in the mix.

Race 5.
SATIN RUBY is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has mainly consistent formlines to her name and was just denied victory last time out over seven furlongs, failing by a short head at the wire. She was making good late progress in that event and the form of the race has been franked. She gets gate eight and has her first run for her new stable. If fully settled into her new surroundings, she could be the one to side with here. MORE SUNDAYS returns from a 20 week rest, but has had the benefit of two barrier trial, winning the first of these. The gelding finished sixth last time out over 1100M, 5.8L behind the winner before the break and although he faces a wide draw fifteen, he is likely to be dropped out of it early and start reeling in the frontrunners over the latter stages. HOLY COMMAND, on the other hand, has cracked pole position. He is seldom far off the action, having finished fourth in his latest outing over 1100M, two and a half lengths back from the winner when returning from a 26 week absence. He seems sure to turn in another honest performance today.

Race 6.

PHOTOGENIC followed up his penultimate run victory over 1300M with a second place finish next time out over 1450M, just a neck behind the winner. He looked a possible winner that day before being collared in the shadow of the post. He has his peak run since returning from a 22 week break and although having to negotiate draw eight, he should be right up there when they hit the line. DR COPPER has posted three solid efforts since returning from a longer 26 week absence, but jumped awkwardly before ending up in fourth place last time out over seven furlongs, just over a length back from the victor. He has a tricky draw twelve, but should not be easily overlooked in this line-up. UNRESTRICTED won his maiden race last time out over six furlongs by just over a length. He faces stronger here and also has the widest draw of them all in gate eighteen, but he may well be up to the task in hand.

Race 7.
Today’s value bet, RONAN’S ROCK completed his hat-trick when winning a short-head last time out over 1300M. The gelding was returning from a 20 week rest that day, but battled courageously all the way down to the wire and the form of that race has been franked. He jumps from handy draw three and looks to be the one that they all have to beat. EIGER came the widest of then all into the home straight before ending up in third place last time out over 1300M, just under a half length back from the winner. He finished off his race strongly suggesting that extra ground on offer today will be to his liking. He faces draw eleven, but should be right up there in the firing line. PURE FUEGO missed out on his trio of victories when he finished second in his last start over seven furlongs, just a half length adrift of the winner. He will need some luck in running from his wide gate eighteen, but he is likely to be eased out of the race in the early stages and then attempt to chase down the leaders over the latter stages of the contest.

Race 8.

Two 3yr old and a 4yr old filly could fight out the finish to this race and complete the trifecta, but the firm top choice goes to WINSIDE who is made the best bet on the day’s program. She kicked away from her field at the 100M mark when winning by two and a half lengths on debut over 900M and was then given a 19 week rest. She returns here after winning her only barrier trial to prove her fitness and the form of that last race has stood up well. She has a cozy gate two and could prove too strong for this field. KINJINA has her hat-trick run here after wins over 1100M and the latest over five furlongs by just under a length. She is a speedy sort who should put her pole position to good use and she could emerge as the biggest danger to the top pick. MY SISTER CAROLE won her penultimate start over 900m when returning from a 27 week break and then finished second next time out over five furlongs, just a head behind the winner. She likes to sit up with the pace so given her wide draw eleven, she should use that early gate speed to move across without expending too much energy.
