Bangladesh will have to improve considerably if they are to end their wait for a win in New Zealand.

New Zealand vs Bangladesh | Tuesday 30 March 2021 | McLean Park, Napier | 00:00

To Win Match
New Zealand 1/9
Tie 25/1
Bangladesh 57/10

New Zealand
Even without many of their regulars and veterans, New Zealand appear to have too much firepower for the tourists to handle. Conway is in the form of his life, particularly in the shortest format.

Finn Allen had the unfortunate distinction of getting a first-baller on his T20I debut but will likely get an opportunity for a more extensive innings in Napier.

Places in the T20 World Cup squad are up for grabs for the fringe players who best use this platform which should serve to motivate the entire squad.

The presence of Glenn Phillips, Mark Chapman and Daryl Mitchell gives New Zealand options for their fifth bowler's allocation of overs while ensuring they have a stacked batting lineup.

Bangladesh
Bangladesh may have lost the opening match of the series by 66 runs but there were flashes of promise from the Tigers particularly from some of the younger players.

Mohammad Naim looks to be a great find after making his name in the Bangladesh Premier League. He threatened to give New Zealand headaches before being undone by the raw pace of Lockie Ferguson.

Bangladesh need to get more out of Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar at the top of the order if they are to put up any sort of fight.

There will be some who question how skipper Mahmudullah deployed his bowlers, holding the new ball back from Mustafizur Rahman and seeing his attack taken to the cleaners.

Verdict: New Zealand 1/9
New Zealand should hold the edge.
