RACE 1

SUPREME PATROL is looking to make it quick back-to-back wins. He is coming off a smart trial effort recently and looks nicely-prepped to win this opening contest on the All Weather track. LITTLE THUNDER was beaten by a narrow margin last time out. He shoulders top weight but it is encouraging that Teetan has kept faith in the ride. VITAL SPRING has placed in his last three outings and on form rates an obvious danger.

RACE 2

THOU SHALL SING produced a good effort last time when staying on strongly at the finish. He finished third behind a decent sort on that occasion and it will be no surprise to see him get a blow in. MIGHTY POWER is drawn wide and is yet to win a race in Hong Kong. His form in October catches the eye and if he can bounce back to his best, he will be right there at the business end. MOERAKI produced a decent last effort. His prior form is concerning but he has the ability to run into the money.

RACE 3

PING HAI BRAVO has won three of his last four starts. He won his last outing under Hamelin, looks fairly handicapped and represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. DUKE WAI was only beaten a nose last time by the progressive Wellington. He will benefit from a 3kgs claiming apprentice and must be respected. SMART LEADER is much better than his poor comeback run suggests. He shoulders bottom weight and with Teetan in the saddle, could be the one to cause the upset.

RACE 4

GALAXY EMPEROR is looking to make it quick back-to-back wins. He won his last start on this course and despite being slightly worse off at the weights with CITY LEGEND, could earn Maia his first win in Hong Kong. BLAZING PARTNERS shoulders a handy galloping weight. One of his two career triumphs have come on this course and he should be doing his best work where it matters most. VICTORIOUS LEADER finished 1.3 lengths behind the top selection last time out. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror.

RACE 5

SMART WONGCHOY is drawn wide which is a slight concern but if he can get across without using too much energy then he has the ability to win a contest of this nature. He is coming along the right way and will benefit from a 3kgs apprentice allowance. FAMILY FOLKS has looked a picture in last few outings. He was only beaten by a neck last time and will be looking to make amends. DECISIVE TWELVE won well last time in Class 4. He shoulders joint top weight but can find himself in the winner’s enclosure again.

RACE 6

PLIKCLONE is in the best form of his career. He followed up back-to-back wins with two runner-up berths and will be looking to get back to winning ways. He doesn’t take on the strongest field and is really difficult to oppose. OSCAR GLORY is an unexposed sort from the Lor yard. He made good natural improvement when tested on this course and still has plenty scope. SUPER RED DRAGON is better than his below par latest. He returns from a one-month layoff which may have been what he needed and can find a swift form return.

RACE 7

JUNEAU PARK is the best bet on the card. He was only beaten by half a length last time out on this course and with the current champion jockey jumping aboard, should take a power of beating. TORNADO TWIST wasn’t disgraced last time out. He is a type that likes to come from off the pace and if putting his best foot forward, will be mowing down the frontrunners in the dash to the wire. FALCON TURBO hasn’t finished far off in his last two starts. He will benefit from a 2.5kgs claiming apprentice and can run into the money.

RACE 8

MAN STAR drew off to win in fine fashion last time out. He remains in Class 3 which suggests there is another win in the tank. LUCKY FUN has won two of his last three starts. He is well-drawn and on form looks the obvious threat to the top selection. SUNSET WATCH was only beaten just under a length in his last start on this course. Maia only has a handful of decent rides this afternoon and he will be trying to make this one count.

RACE 9

FLAGSHIP GLORY has a ton of ability and is one of the better bets on the card. He is coming along nicely since has layoff and is crying out for the extra distance on offer. He should stay every inch of the mile trip and can get back to winning ways. PRECISE EXPRESS found a form return last time out behind a sort that is now going for a hat-trick. If confirming that effort then he should be able to make his presence felt. AUTHENTIC CHAMP has won two of his last four starts. He is in good form and from his neat draw could be the one to cause the upset.

RACE 10

SUPER FOOTBALL takes on stronger rivals and faces his acid test in the lucky last. He is in search of a hat-trick of wins and looks to be a horse with loads of potential. He backed up his favourite status last time and won easier than the margin suggests. FLYING QUEST was only beaten by half a length in his last outing. He was beaten by ASSIMILATE in his penultimate run though which is a slight concern. SAVVY NINE is much better than his last start in a Grade 3 event. He will benefit from a 3kgs claiming apprentice and should be very competitive in Class 2.
